4 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (finger) will miss his third straight game on Wednesday due to a left index finger contusion. He is sitting out for Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the St. Louis Cardinals as Albert Almora Jr. is playing center field and batting eighth. Nimmo first suffered the injury in Saturday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. There appears to be some hope that Nimmo can make his return in Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader. Regardless of whether he can go in Game 2 or not, he seems at least close to making his return.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
