Ben Simmons Expected To Be 100% By September
2 years agoAccording to Brooklyn Nets general manager Sean Marks, small forward Ben Simmons (back) is not expected to have surgery. The former 76er underwent surgery in May 2022 to repair a herniated disk. However, after logging only 42 games this season, he was hobbled by a nerve issue in his back, which ended his season prematurely. Fortunately, Simmons is anticipated to be 100% by September and ready to go for training camp. The 26-year-old had a horrendous 22-23 campaign, finishing with averages of 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.3 steals. He also had a career-low 110.2 defensive rating. It's fair to say there will be more than a few fantasy managers who look past him heading into next season. But his upside is still high, even though nobody should reach for him during fantasy drafts.
