4 years agoMinnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz is not in the team's Opening Day lineup as they face the Milwaukee Brewers in a road game without the designated hitter spot. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli was asked whether Cruz would be limited this year because of the lack of a designated hitter in National League games. Baldelli responded by saying, "Nelson will get his at-bats regardless of score, regardless of situation. He's going to get out there. He's going to get three at-bats." Luckily for Cruz, this weekend's series against the Brewers is the team's only road series against a National League team until July 30, when the team heads to St. Louis.
