Austin Nola To See Action At Alternate Site Soon
4 years agoSan Diego Padres catcher Austin Nola (finger) is nearing his first game action of 2021 after suffering a broken finger. On Monday, Padres manager Jayce Tingler said that Nola should be ready to make his debut in a game at the team's alternate site in the "next two or three days." If Nola doesn't hit any speed bumps, he should be expected to rejoin the Padres sometime in the next week or so. Nola was fantastic in 2020, a season he split between the Padres and Seattle Mariners. Over 48 games in 2020, he slashed .273/.353/.825 with seven home runs and 28 RBI. He needs to be rostered in all fantasy leagues as he has top-5 catcher upside with a relatively safe floor amidst the potent Padres offense.
