Austin Bibens-Dirkx Signs Minor League Deal With Dodgers
4 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers have signed relief pitcher Austin Bibens-Dirkx to a minor league deal. He is set to report to the team's Triple-A affiliate. Bibens-Dirkx, who just turned 36 years old in April, last pitched in the Majors with the Texas Rangers in 2018. He made 13 appearances that year (including six starts) and posted a 6.20 ERA and 1.556 WHIP. With Corey Knebel (lat) sidelined for the bulk of the year, the Dodgers will be looking to get an extra arm in their bullpen. Bibens-Dirkx could be a candidate to fill out the bullpen if he pitches well at Triple-A.
