Amanda Ribas suffered a third-round submission loss to Mackenzie Dern in the main event of UFC Vegas 101 on Saturday. Ribas defeated Dern in their first matchup earlier in their careers by unanimous decision. In 14:56 of action, Ribas landed two takedowns and 17 significant strikes. This is Ribas' third loss over her last four fights. With the loss, Ribas is now 13-6 as a pro and 7-5 in the UFC. Dern and Ribas could clash again in the future for a trilogy fight.--Alen Kurbasic
