2 years agoDetroit Tigers right-hander Alex Lange is next in line to be the team's primary closer after the Tigers shipped Gregory Soto to the Phillies on Saturday. Lange played a vital role in 2022 for the Tigers and served as a dependable arm in critical situations out of the bullpen. He twirled a 3.41 ERA across a team-high 71 appearances. The right-hander made appearances in various situations, ranging from low to high-leverage situations. He held opponents to a .200 average with a 30.3% strikeout rate. Lange is now cleared to take on the burden as a closer, and the Tigers expect the 27-year-old to maintain his productivity. Lange should definitely be considered an option if he proves to be a shoo-in in the fantasy world.--Rephael Negnewitzky
