EXPERT ANALYSIS: Sometimes the light bulb suddenly goes on for a player and everything clicks. Keon Broxton was hitting a paltry .163 on August 1st with two homers and eight steals to his name. Since then, he is slashing .328/.431/.574 with four HR, nine RBI and nine SB in just 61 at-bats. In fact, he has scored more runs in August (11) than he had in the previous four months combined (10). It is unlikely he will keep up this insane pace, especially the steals which have already tapered off, as he has none in the past week. The power is starting to increase, however, with three HR in the last week alone. Broxton is hitting nearly 100 points better against LHP, but his recent tear has been as an everyday starter, not in a platoon situation. The rookie struggled to get things going early on, but it appears he has finally found his footing and could vault himself into the discussion as a big time sleeper for 2017. As for this season, Broxton has shown the ability to contribute in all five standard scoring categories and makes for an intriguing mixed league add.
