BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 44% of leagues
ANALYSIS: After two years of a providing a minimal power output in 2018 and 2019, Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto had a surprising power resurgence last year. During the shortened 2020 season, Votto hit 11 home runs and eight doubles over 55 games while slugging .446.

So far in 2021, he's picked up right where he left off in 2020. Through 18 games, Votto is slashing .247/.304/.452 with four home runs, three doubles, 11 RBI and eight runs. He has a 13.3% barrel rate and a .651 xSLG that ranks amongst the top 6% of the league. He's been especially hot lately with multiple hits in four of his past six games.
Votto - now 37 years old - was one of the game's best hitters in his prime. Fantasy managers shouldn't go chasing his 36 home runs in 2017 or his NL MVP-winning 2010 numbers (37 home runs, 113 RBI), but 25-30 home runs with a strong batting average is very much in play. Votto should be rostered in all fantasy leagues. First base isn't as deep of a position as it used to be and Votto has a shot to finish in or around the top-12 at the position if he stays hot.
