Can you believe we are already at Week 9? Well, believe it or not, we are. In Week 8, we witnessed some fantastic showings from several players. In his second game as a 49er, Christian McCaffrey finished with a “TD Trifecta,” becoming the first player to accomplish the feat since LaDainian Tomlinson did it back in 2005.
Of course, then there was D'Onta Foreman, Alvin Kamara, Derrick Henry, and A.J. Brown, to name a few, who also ranked among the slate’s top fantasy producers. At the same time, Jonathan Taylor, Michael Pittman Jr., and Davante Adams didn't look so hot.
In this article, I will be providing you with my Week 9 daily fantasy football lineup picks for FanDuel. FanDuel Quarterbacks - Week 9 DFS Lineup Picks
Josh Allen - @ NYJ ($9,300)
During last Sunday night’s win over the Green Bay Packers, Allen had his lowest-scoring game of the season, finishing with only 19.62 fantasy points. He threw for only 218 yards and two touchdowns. In addition, he had two interceptions and completed an atrocious 52% of his attempts.
With the Jets next on the schedule for the Bills, DFS managers have a reason to be optimistic. He’s amassed at least 307 passing yards in three of his last four outings versus New York while accounting for seven touchdowns and only one pick. Allen is as close as it gets for those looking for a sure thing in Week 9.
Aaron Rodgers - @ DET ($7,000)
Rodgers isn't having a fantastic year. Everyone knows it, and so does he. Unquestionably, losing Davante Adams to the Raiders hasn't done the multi-time MVP any favors. But is he due for a turnaround in Week 9 against Detroit?
Considering Rodgers has thrown for 6,055 yards and 52 touchdowns while maintaining a 108.8 passer rating versus the Lions in his career, he has an excellent chance to get on track. Keep in mind that he's dealing with a thumb injury but should be good to go, barring a significant setback.
Also Consider: Kyler Murray ($8,200), Justin Herbert ($7,800)
FanDuel Running Backs - Week 9 DFS Lineup Picks
Kenneth Walker III - @ ARI ($8,300)
Walker has been on a tear since taking over the backfield duties in Seattle. He’s been getting more than enough work to remain relevant, combining for 62 carries for 315 yards and four touchdowns in his last three games.
The rookie only ran for 51 yards versus the Giants in Week 8. Yet, Walker has the luxury of going up against a Cardinals defense that has had trouble stopping the run over the last two weeks.
Travis Etienne Jr. - vs. LV ($7,600)
James Robinson is now a New York Jet, so the timeshare in Jacksonville is over, making Etienne the undisputed No. 1 option out of the backfield. The former Clemson Tiger had the best showing of his career in the Week 8 loss to Denver, amassing 156 yards off 24 carries.
He also had a touchdown, his second in the last two games. The Raiders and Jaguars will meet on Sunday in a battle between two underperforming clubs. Vegas has allowed the third-most fantasy points to running backs this season, so locking in Etienne should be a simple decision for DFS enthusiasts.
Also Consider: Josh Jacobs ($8,800), Rhamondre Stevenson ($8,000), Aaron Jones ($7,800), Deon Jackson ($5,000-If Jonathan Taylor is out)
FanDuel Wide Receivers - Week 9 DFS Lineup Picks
DeAndre Hopkins - vs. SEA ($8,600)
Hopkins hasn’t missed a beat since returning from his six-game suspension. In his two appearances this season, the wideout has caught 22 of his 27 targets for 262 yards and two touchdowns,
Kyler Murray is certainly thrilled to have him back in the lineup, especially after he lost Marquise Brown to an ankle injury. The signal-caller should keep looking in Hopkins’ direction against the Seahawks on Sunday.
Tyler Boyd - vs. CAR ($6,900)
The Bengals offense wasn't much of a factor in the loss to the Browns on Monday night. The team hasn’t looked like the version that made the Super Bowl last season, and being without Ja'Marr Chase for the next few weeks (at least) won’t help things.
However, Cincinnati has arguably the best receiving corps in the league, so Boyd and Tee Higgins are still a threat. Boyd has quietly put together a quality year, and he has scored a touchdown in two straight games. There’s a good chance he makes it three in a row against a mediocre Panthers defense.
Also Consider: Justin Jefferson ($9,000), Stefon Diggs ($8,900), Tyreek Hill ($8,700), Tee Higgins ($8,000), Joshua Palmer ($6,200), DeAndre Carter ($5,500)
FanDuel Tight Ends - Week 9 DFS Lineup Picks
Robert Tonyan - @ DET ($5,000)
Aaron Rodgers hasn’t had dependable receiving options this year, so the offense has been a work in progress. Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson are still developing, and Randall Cobb is out with an ankle injury.
Rodgers has turned his attention toward a familiar face to help get the offense moving in a better direction. Tonyan, who has played alongside the legendary signal-caller for five seasons, has been targeted 18 times over the last three games. With so many disastrous options at the tight end spot, Tonyan's upside can't be ignored, especially for the price.
Also Consider: Tyler Higbee ($6,100), Gerald Everett ($5,800)
