Welcome back to another edition of the FREE DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks. As customary, we have an all-day ledger on tap Wednesday, and although DraftKings does not have a full-day slate, FanDuel does. Consequently, today's article will feature picks on both sites for games throughout the day, as even on DK, the suggestions will prove viable for someone playing one of the site's split slates.
It's a strong day on the pitching front, with four pitchers particularly standing out and arguably at least a couple of others beyond that worth considering. There are also some targetable pitchers taking the hill and a Coors Field afternoon matchup, so assembling some very appealing hitters and identifying two potentially profitable stacks was a fairly straightforward process as well.
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 9/7/2022 that includes a FanDuel main slate locking at 12:35 pm ET. The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. If you have any questions or comments, find me on Twitter and ask away!
DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Yu Darvish - SDP vs. ARI ($10,000 DK, $10,800 FD)
Darvish comes into Wednesday with three straight quality starts and has accomplished the feat in nine of his last 10 trips to the mound overall. The right-hander's most recent outing was particularly noteworthy, as he blanked the best team in baseball, the Dodgers, over seven innings while recording nine strikeouts. Darvish has been especially effective in his pitcher-friendly home park as well, posting a 6-2 record, 2.29 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, and 0.8 HR/9 there.
The Diamondbacks haven't enjoyed their three previous encounters with Darvish this season, as he's stymied them to the tune of a 2-0 record and 1.80 ERA across three starts. Current Arizona bats have struggled throughout their careers against Darvish as well, as they've only mustered a collective .227/.280/.373 slash line across 118 plate appearances against him.
Spencer Strider - ATL at OAK ($8,900 DK, $10,200 FD)
Strider's lights-out rookie campaign hit one of its high points his last time out, as he set a new Braves franchise record with 16 strikeouts in an eight-inning, two-hit blanking of the Rockies. What's more, Strider allowed no more than one earned run in five of the six outings prior to that start, leading him to a 5-1 record, 2.01 ERA, 0.84 WHIP, 13.4 K/9, and 0.4 HR/9 across 40.1 innings since the All-Star break.
The precocious right-hander has a golden opportunity to keep the good times rolling Wednesday in a very pitcher-friendly park against a sub-par offense squad. The Athletics occasionally have their moments, but they've still generated just a .228 average, .299 OBP, .294 wOBA, and -8.1 wRAA against right-handed pitching in their home park during the second half of the season. Strider has slightly more impressive numbers at home, but the combination of venue and matchup make him a highly appealing option at his salaries.
Other options: Jacob deGrom - NYM vs. PIT ($11,700 DK); Cristian Javier - HOU vs. TEX ($10,200 DK, $9,900 FD)

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Rhys Hoskins - 1B, PHI vs. Trevor Rogers ($4,900 DK, $3,200 FD)
Hoskins has been very impressive against left-handed pitching all season, producing a .313 average, .439 wOBA, and 1.046 OPS against that handedness at home. He's also thrived against Rogers in the past, as he owns a .438 average with three homers and just three strikeouts against the Marlins' southpaw in 19 career plate appearances. Meanwhile, Rogers has struggled throughout the season and has been tormented by right-handed hitters to the tune of a .299 average, .374 wOBA, 1.61 WHIP, and 1.4 HR/9.
Andres Gimenez - 2B, CLE at Zack Greinke ($5,200 DK, $2,700 FD)
Gimenez's breakout season includes a very well-balanced .301/.368/.481 slash line that's partly constituted of 38 extra-base hits, 60 RBI, and even 16 steals in 18 attempts. The surging infielder has a modest 19.6 percent strikeout rate as well, and he's been at his best when facing right-handers on the road, as will be the case Wednesday.
Gimenez owns a .319 average, .924 OPS, .396 wOBA, and .233 ISO against righties when traveling, along with an elevated 25.6 percent line-drive rate in the split. Meanwhile, Greinke, who'll come off the IL for this start, has conceded a .285 average to left-handed hitters while generating a minuscule 11.2 percent strikeout rate when facing them at home.
Nico Hoerner - SS, CHC vs. Mike Minor ($3,500 DK, $2,700 FD)
Hoerner has been one of the few bright spots for the Cubs during a mostly miserable season, and he's been especially impressive against left-handed pitching at Wrigley Field. Hoerner has tagged southpaws for a .314 average and .739 OPS at home, along with an elite 27.3 percent line-drive rate. He's never faced Minor before, but the veteran left-hander, despite a very impressive showing against the Cardinals last time out, is vulnerable and has surrendered a .278 average, .378 wOBA, and 1.9 HR/9 to right-handed hitters on the road.
Alex Bregman - 3B, HOU vs. Cole Ragans ($5,600 DK, $3,500 FD)
Bregman has enjoyed a resurgent season from a power standpoint, belting 20 homers over going into Tuesday's action after having mustered just 18 over the 132 games he'd played the prior two seasons. The slugging third baseman has also been excellent at Minute Maid Park all season, posting a .322 average and 1.004 OPS there across 257 plate appearances.
His work against southpaws at home includes a .374 wOBA, .205 ISO, and .857 OPS, while Ragans comes in having given up a .346 average, .503 wOBA, 3.0 HR/9, and 9.28 xFIP to the 31 right-handed hitters he's faced on the road thus far in his young career.
Other options: Jose Altuve - 2B, HOU vs. Cole Ragans ($5,900 DK, $4,100 FD)
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Charlie Blackmon - COL vs. Eric Lauer ($4,800 DK, $3,200 FD)
Blackmon has always been a left-handed hitter that's completely unfazed by same-handed matchups, instead often thriving in those situations, particularly in his hitter-friendly home park. This season, Blackmon has been particularly lethal in that split, posting a .364 average, .864 OPS, and .380 wOBA against southpaws at Coors Field.
He's also feasted off Lauer for a .546 average with three doubles and two homers with only two strikeouts in 24 career encounters. For his part, Lauer has been very effective in same-handed matchups, but the Coors Field environment and Blackmon's body of work put the outfielder firmly in play.
Hunter Renfroe - MIL at Kyle Freeland ($5,000 DK, $4,200 FD)
Renfroe has found a home in Milwaukee, where he's already belted just seven fewer homers than the impressive 31 he collected during his one year in Boston in 2021 despite playing 44 fewer games. The veteran slugger has a swing tailor-made for Coors Field, and the matchup against a vulnerable left-hander in Freeland is just the proverbial icing on the cake Wednesday.
Renfroe owns a .333 average and just two strikeouts in 21 career plate appearances against the southpaw, and he's produced a .359 wOBA and .221 ISO versus lefties overall. Freeland has unraveled at Coors to the tune of a .308 BAA, .382 wOBA, and 4.91 FIP, and he's given up a .371 wOBA to right-handed hitters there specifically.
Shohei Ohtani - LAA vs. Drew Hutchison ($6,300 DK, $4,300 FD)
Ohtani's upside speaks for itself, and a matchup against an inconsistent, hittable right-hander like Hutchison makes him an especially appealing candidate Wednesday. Ohtani has tormented righties at home for a .315 average, 1.091 OPS, .449 wOBA, and .370 ISO, otherworldly numbers he's complemented with a 42.1 percent hard-contact rate and 29.1 percent HR/FB rate. Hutchison has had trouble with both handednesses of hitters but especially left-handed bats on the road, surrendering a .290 average and .364 wOBA.
Other options: Brandon Nimmo - NYM at Bryse Wilson (1st game of doubleheader) ($ 9,000 DK Showdown, $3,300 FD); Mike Trout, LAA vs. Drew Hutchison ($5,700 DK, $4,100 FD)
