ANALYSIS: Devontae Booker got to see action early in Week 1 and promptly fumbled his first NFL carry. C.J. Anderson proceeded to dominate, putting up 139 total yards and two touchdowns. Booker was not going to make an immediate impact anyway, but he could still be in the mix by mid-season. A fourth-round pick out of Utah, Booker figures to challenge for the starting RB role in another year or two to complement rookie QB Paxton Lynch as the Broncos retool their offense. The release of Ronnie Hilliard just cemented his status as the #2 back before the season started. While Anderson's fat contract (and great performance in Week 1) guarantee that he will remain the starter barring injury, Booker should be on standby. He is a worthy stash for deep-league owners and a necessary handcuff for those who currently roster Anderson.
