BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 23% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Texas Rangers starting pitcher Dane Dunning hasn't been going very deep into games so far this year, but he's been making the most of the innings he's managed to pitch. Through three starts and 15 innings, Dunning has allowed just 10 hits, two walks and one earned run while striking out 16.

Dunning earned his first quality start of the year on Saturday against the Baltimore Orioles. He pitched six scoreless innings, allowing five hits and no walks while striking out five. Unfortunately, he wound up with a no decision as the Rangers' bullpen crumbled in the last three innings. Dunning has diversified his pitch mix a good amount this year. He's thrown his sinker 65.3% of the time after throwing it just 39.4% of the time last year. He's seen significantly improved results from the pitch as it's generated a put-away percentage of 27.6%, up from 19.2% last year.
Dunning will almost certainly be on some sort of innings limit this year. He had Tommy John surgery in March of 2019, then made his return in 2020 and pitched just 34 innings. The Rangers might not want him to reach triple-digits in innings this year, or at least not pitch much more than 100 innings, which greatly limits his upside.
As of now, Dunning should be rostered in all 12-team leagues and AL-only leagues. While he may fail to deliver on a solid quantity of innings on the year, the quality of innings should be good enough to make him roster-worthy.
