EXPERT ANALYSIS: Dan Straily is solidifying his case for most improved player in the majors and one of the best fantasy streaming options still available. His tremendous start to the year seemed to be undone by a horrible June in which he posted a 6.43 ERA and saw his K/BB rate dip. He is back in a big way, however, with 26 K in his last 29.1 IP, a 2.45 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and a 4-0 record in August. His 31% LD% this season still could use some improving, and his 4.63 SIERA and 4.89 xFIP indicate that he may not be as good as his ratios suggest. If Straily is able to continue cutting down on walks and induce more grounders, his fantasy value could actually improve. Regardless, it is impossible to ignore his recent success. Fantasy owners in all but the shallowest of leagues can benefit from adding him to the rotation as we near the end of the season.
