Premier League DFS Goalkeeper Picks For DraftKings
Top Pick - Hugo Lloris – Tottenham Hotspur - Salary - $4,100
Lloris is most assuredly still seething over last week’s loss to Newcastle. The typically sure handed Lloris miffed an extra-time Alexander Mitrovic strike that handed the lead, and ultimately all three points to the Magpies. On Saturday, the Hotspur travel to the southern coast to take on Southampton, a squad that has not scored multiple goals in a single game since Matchday 11. Tottenham, still threatening for a top four position, is likely to have a bounce-back quality result after last week’s disappointing falter.
Value Pick - Wayne Hennessey – Crystal Palace - Salary - $3,600
Palace is trending in the right direction, with only one loss since Matchday 11. On Saturday, the Eagles visit Stoke, a squad that scored just four goals in that same timeframe. Hennessey’s two-save per-game is on the low end for quality keepers, however, with the probable likelihood of a clean sheet, the Eagle keeper may be able to offer an double digit output at a relatively low cost.
Premier League DFS Defense Picks For DraftKings
Top Pick - Daryl Janmaat – Newcastle United - Salary - $3,700
Janmaat has been a force on the flank all season long. His 54 crosses on the year is the third-highest total among Saturday’s active defenders. In addition, Newcastle host an Aston Villa squad starving for goals, making Janmaat a likely candidate to earn fantasy points on both sides of the ball.
Value Pick - Simon Francis – AFC Bournemouth - Salary - $2,800
Francis and his fellow Cherries have been one of this season's most pleasant fantasy surprises. The fullback has been a cross machine, averaging over three per game. On Saturday, Francis will be marked against West Brom’s wingers James Morrison and Stephane Sessegnon. The duo have lacked the ability to effectively track back on defense, leaving an opening for Francis to inflate his cross totals on the counter attack.
Premier League DFS Midfielder Picks For DraftKings
Top Pick - Riyad Mahrez – Leicester City - Salary - $8,300
Mahrez is the early season favorite to earn the fantasy player of the year honor. The Algerian playmaker has contributed on 19 goals (eight goals, 11 assists) and is the only player in the EPL to average over 20 points per game in DFS.
Top Pick - Robbie Brady - Norwich Salary - $6,200
In the midst of an injury crisis, Man U fielded a glorified U-21 side against Bournemouth last weekend. If Van Gaal employs a similar unit against Norwich, the Canary playmaker Robbie Brady should be able to carve them up like soft butter. Only Dusan Tadic (90) and Marc Albrighton (94) have more crosses than Brady’s season total of 84. If he indeed faces a haphazard backline, look for the Irish International to send forth his aerial attack early and often.
Value Pick - Junior Stanislas - AFC Bournemouth Salary - $4,500
Bournemouth, after dealing with several debilitating injuries and early season losses, looks to be a squad poised for an extended run in the EPL. Stanislas has benefited from the aforesaid string of injuries. Since entering the regular XI six weeks ago, Stanislas has scored three goals and has opened up the Cherry attack with his well-timed intelligent runs.
Value Pick - Dele Alli - Tottenham Hotspur Salary - $4,100
Alli has been one of this season’s most exciting newcomers. Since breaking into Tottenham’s starting lineup, Alli has been employed and has found success as Eric Dier’s holding partner in the deep midfield. Recently, with Mousa Dembele out with injury, Alli has moved up into an attacking role. With Dembele questionable for Saturday’s match with Southampton, Alli could once again man the higher position, mking him more of a fantasy threat. Monitor the pregame lineup announcements for this one.
Premier League DFS Forward Picks For DraftKings
Top Pick - Jamie Vardy – Leicester City - Salary - $7,900
This should shock nobody. The goals keep on coming for Vardy. Until this guy stops scoring, he should be owned in all formats and in all competitions.
Value Pick - Salomon Rondon – West Bromwich Albion - Salary - $4,300
Move over Berahino, West Brom have a new favored striker. Rondon has one of this weekend’s most favorable matchups, facing a weak Bournemouth rearguard that has seldom kept a clean sheet this year. Look for Rondon to expose the inadequacies in Bournemouth’s talent-deficient rearguard.
