Premier League DFS Goalkeeper Picks For DraftKings
Top Pick – Joe Hart – Manchester City Salary - $4,300
Despite last week’s surprising 2-0 loss to Stoke, Joe Hart takes his regular position as this week’s top keeper selection. The defeat notwithstanding, the Sky Blues still have the league’s top defensive unit and have the pleasure of taking on the floundering Swans just days after the canning of Gary Monk.
Value Pick – Jack Butland – Stoke City Salary - $3,000
Butland is quietly putting together a fantastic season for the Potters and has established himself as Joe Hart’s heir-apparent for the English National Team. Fantasy-wise, the young Englishman has been superb, leading all of Saturday’s active keepers with a 10-point weekly average. Stoke has been frustrating this season, proving inconsistent and downright hapless at times. Last week, however, Mark Hughes’ squad may have seen their season’s turning point, earning a surprising 2-0 victory against title favorites Manchester City. This weekend, Stoke visits a West Ham squad still finding themselves after the loss of Dimitri Payet. To make matters worse for the Hammers, they will also be without Winston Reid, Victor Moses, Manuel Lanzini, and Diafra Sakho on Saturday, giving Stoke the edge on getting all three points.
Premier League DFS Defense Picks For DraftKings
Top Pick – Aleksandar Kolarov – Manchester City Salary - $5,600
This perpetual top-spot holder should be poised for yet another big game on Saturday. Kolarov has had a great run of form lately, earning at least 12 points and averaging nine crosses over his last five matches. Kolarov and the rest of the Citizens have the pleasure of taking on manager-less Swansea, a squad that hasn’t scored since mid-November.
Value Pick – DeAndre Yedlin – Sunderland Salary - $2,500
Last week the Tottenham loanee and American international earned his second consecutive start at the wing-midfield position. In these two games the Sunderland attack has been as wide open as it has been all year. In the process, Yedlin has averaged five crosses and nine points per game.
Premier League DFS Midfielder Picks For DraftKings
Top Pick – Kevin De Bruyne – Manchester City - Salary - $7,800
Man City’s attractive match up against Swansea has been prevalent in this week’s player selections, making De Bruyne a no-brainer. The Belgian attacking midfielder has been a revelation since arriving from Wolfsburg in August. De Bruyne is tied for second in the league with six assists and has good odds to add yet another to his season total, facing a Swans side that has allowed 10 goals over its last five games.
Value Pick – David Silva – Manchester City -
Salary - $5,800
Silva’s LOW price represents a sincere flaw in Draft Kings’ pricing algorithm. Desite his recent injuries, it is befuddling that a player considered the league’s MVP in September, can be had at a bargain price upon his return. Silva has come off the bench in the past two weeks, but is favored to man the starting position on the right wing during City’s aforementioned match against Swansea.
Premier League DFS Midfielder Picks For DraftKings
Top Pick – Romelu Lukaku – Everton - Salary - $7,800
Big Rom has been sensational in recent weeks, scoring in six consecutive games, including an late equalizer against Crystal Palace on Monday. The Belgian international looks a threat to score every time he touches the ball in and around the box. Among forwards, only Sergio Aguero has more combined EPL goals and assists since the start of the 2012-2013 season. Lukaku looks focused to add yet another point to his ever growing total as he hopes to be the first Everton player to score in seven straight games since Bob Latchford in 1975.
Value Pick – Marko Arnautovic – Stoke City - Salary - $4,300
Arnautovic was key in Stoke’s shocking defeat over Man City last week, scoring his first brace of the season, and racking up an astounding 30 fantasy points. Arnautovic has begun to play a more natural number nine role as of late, taking advantage of his dominant size and strength the middle of the pitch. With West Ham’s central midfield and defense decimated by injuries, look for Arnautovic to take full advantage of his favorable matchup against the second-teamers.
