J.T. Realmuto Leads The Way Wednesday
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto walked and scored in the first inning and hit a three-run home run (his first of the season) in the fifth inning in the 8-2 win Wednesday over the New York Mets. Realmuto had five RBI in the series. One of the best all-around catchers in the game, if not the No. 1 backstop, Realmuto has six hits (two doubles, one homer) in his first 18 at-bats (.333 average). The two-time All-Star also has an on-base percentage of .368 and an OPS of .813 through his first five games of the season. It's very early, but fantasy managers that took Realmuto as the first catcher off the board in fantasy drafts are already reaping the rewards. Continue to treat him as a must-start player at his position each and every day.
