It was always unlikely he would play, as the team listed him as doubtful on the initial injury report. Powell's absence will extend to 15 games. His last appearance was on Jan. 17. The Canadian center only participated in non-contact activities during Thursday's practice, indicating he is still some way from returning. With Daniel Gafford (knee), Dereck Lively II (ankle), and Anthony Davis (adductor) also sidelined, Dallas has brought in 7-foot-2 big man Moses Brown on a 10-day contract to bolster its frontcourt depth.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
