Miguel Rojas Making Cactus League Debut On Friday
17 hours agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder Miguel Rojas (hernia) is making his Cactus League debut on Friday against the Chicago Cubs and is starting at third base and batting sixth in the lineup. Rojas was a bit behind the other position players at the start of camp after undergoing sports-hernia surgery in the offseason, but he's back in action now and should be good to go for the two-game series in Tokyo, Japan, on March 18 and 19 against the Cubs, barring a setback. The 35-year-old Venezuelan infielder had one of his best offensive seasons in 2024 for the Blue, slashing .283/.337/.410 with six home runs, 36 RBI, eight stolen bases and 41 runs scored in 103 games played. However, Rojas remains a glove-first player and will once again have very limited fantasy appeal as a reserve infielder for the most stacked team in baseball.
