Adam Macko Has Knee Surgery
1 day agoToronto Blue Jays left-hander Adam Macko (knee) had arthroscopic surgery on his knee on Thursday morning, according to manager John Schneider. "We'll kind of see the timeline when he gets back here and recovered a little bit," Schneider said. Macko torn the meniscus in his left knee early in training camp and now does not have a timetable for a return. The 24-year-old southpaw will certainly open the 2025 regular season on the injured list and could have to miss more than a month of action before he's likely assigned to Triple-A Buffalo. The former seventh-round pick by the Seattle Mariners in 2019 pitched at Single-A Dunedin, Double-A New Hampshire and Buffalo in 2024, going a combined 5-5 with a 4.63 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 105:35 K:BB in 93 1/3 frames over 20 starts. Fantasy managers can avoid Macko in 2025.
