After signing a massive three-year deal worth $25 million in each season with the Mets, Yoenis Cespedes is starting to aggravate fans. He has just six hits in 24 at-bats with the Amazins (including a home run) yet he is still arguably their best contributor thus far.
Cespedes' does have a tendency to swing and miss at a lot of pitches, so that should not be a surprise to Mets fans. It's obvious the Mets' offense has been nothing short of awful to open up the season. Although Cespedes' numbers may not be eye popping, he is hitting the ball very hard and making solid contact in many of his at-bats. The cold weather this past week supplemented with heavy winds has made it hard for the ball to carry out of the stadium. As the weather rises, so will Cespedes' numbers.
