WWE Superstars Who've Had A Disappointing 2023 - Baron Corbin, Bray Wyatt, Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre

Cody Rhodes - Wrestling Rankings, Sleepers, WWE Injury News

2023 Has been a historic year for World Wrestling Entertainment. While some Superstars have shined, others like Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, and Bray Wyatt, among others, haven't been as impressive.

A lot happened in the first half of 2023. The "Triple H Era" continued, Wrestlemania 39 was a hit, and WWE merged with the UFC. It didn't stop there, as the World Heavyweight Championship was brought back to life, and the foundation of WWE was rocked during the 2023 Draft.

Plenty of WWE Superstars have stood out. Roman Reigns' lengthy run as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is still intact, while Gunther, Sami Zayn, Austin Theory, and Solo Sikoa, to name a few, have also had tremendous success. On the other hand, there are other WWE Superstars who haven't been as fortunate.

Baron Corbin

Corbin is a former United States Champion. But despite several gimmick changes and having JBL serve as his manager, he remains one of the most directionless performers on the roster.

Bray Wyatt

Wyatt returned to WWE in October after being gone for over a year. After a slow build, he had his first notable contest at the 2023 Royal Rumble, defeating LA Knight in the Mountain Dew "Pitch Black Match." However, he hasn't done anything since, despite teasing an encounter with Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania.

Cody Rhodes

In January, Rhodes returned from a pectoral tear and won the 2023 Royal Rumble. Although it seemed he was a lock to snap Roman Reigns' streak, that didn't happen. He's been working his way back to the title scene ever since.

Karrion Kross

Triple H brought Kross back after he took over creative from Vince McMahon. While many had blamed McMahon for Kross' failure, he still hasn't lived up to expectations under the new regime.

Drew McIntyre

Despite winning his share of matches in 2023, McIntyre hasn't been involved in the main event scene, leaving many fans disappointed. Unfortunately, his WWE career could be over, as he's rumored to be on his way out of the company.

Xavier Woods

Big E suffered a severe neck injury and may not wrestle again. So after Kofi Kingston went down with an ankle injury around WrestleMania, Woods had a chance to begin a meaningful singles run. Yet, much of his on-screen time has been reserved for promoting video games instead of challenging for titles.

Dolph Ziggler

Can anyone figure out what Ziggler's role is in WWE? He somehow went from a young, up-and-coming prospect to someone who's "just there." He hasn't had a productive 2023, although the second half probably won't be much better.
