Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks and betting picks for 6/14/22. Expert WNBA DFS advice for DraftKings and FanDuel and today's best bets.

We've got a pair of WNBA games tonight. The Mercury take on the Mystics in a game that should be closer than the records suggest, while the Storm take on the Lynx in a game that...probably won't be close.

I'll be providing daily fantasy lineup picks for the WNBA this season here at RotoBaller. In addition, I'll be sprinkling in some basic betting picks. Not going to get complicated since there's limited space in this piece, but I'll throw you a bet or two each day that I like and, because I think this is important, that I'll be making myself.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/14/22. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The slate locks on 6/14/2022 at 7:00 p.m. ET. Want to talk more about the WNBA? WNBA DFS Lineup Picks: Forwards

Breanna Stewart (Seattle Storm) - @ MIN - DK: $12,400, FD: $9,000

Just going to get this out of the way: I hate this slate. Feels like because of the matchup, you have to pay up for Stewie, and then that really makes building the rest of your lineup tough.

But hey, whatever—we'll get through this slate.

Stewie is coming off of a 25-point, eight-rebound game against Dallas. She's been on fire lately, putting up big numbers across the board. While her fantasy output seems to be better against Dallas than other teams, I feel confident in her against this struggling Lynx defense. She had 17 points and eight rebounds in her first meeting with Minnesota.

Gabby Williams (Seattle Storm) - @ MIN - DK: $6,800, FD: $5,400 (Guard on FanDuel)

Don't love this play, but Williams has seen some decent volume lately. She just isn't connecting on those shots like you'd like. Maybe a date with the Lynx is the cure for that? Minnesota allows the fourth-most points per game in the league.

But really, this play is an example of why I hate this slate. This range of players is full of people I don't want to play. Other than Williams, you basically get the whole cavalry of backup Mystics forwards at this price. Just seems like this slate is built on good players being one price and then bad players being one price and there's not that middle ground to exploit.

Nikolina Milic (Minnesota Lynx) - vs SEA - DK: $6,100, FD: $4,000

With Fowles out, someone had to step up in Minnesota. I thought it would be Damiris Dantas, but it looks like it might actually be Nikolina Milic. She played 30 minutes against Indiana, going 11-for-19 from the field with 23 points, six rebounds and three assists. It was a shocking development and it led to a sharp spike in her DFS price, but if Milic is going to have this level of involvement with Fowles sidelined then this is still a bit of a value here.

 

WNBA DFS Lineup Picks: Guards

Natasha Cloud (Washington Mystics) - vs PHO - DK: $9,000, FD: $6,900

Last time out against Phoenix, Cloud took just eight shots, but still had a solid fantasy day because she posted good numbers across the board, finishing with nine points, six rebounds and seven assists. Her scoring is down lately, but her assist numbers are up and Washington will need her to play 35 minutes in this one. Maybe she'll also rediscover her stroke from behind the arc after a few day showings from there, since Phoenix allows the second-highest three-point percentage in the W.

Diamond DeShields (Phoenix Mercury) - @ WAS - DK: $7,900, FD: $5,500 (Forward on FanDuel)

With Sophie Cunningham out, the Mercury have to rely on their core players even more. DeShields only playing 22 minutes last game would seem to negate that statement, but DeShields was in foul trouble, as she eventually fouled out. In the minutes she did play, she was 6-for-8 from the floor with 13 points and also added three rebounds. With more minutes on Tuesday night, DeShields should have her best game this month.

Moriah Jefferson (Minnesota Lynx) - vs SEA  - DK: $7,600, FD: $5,400

Another example of this slate frustrating me. Jefferson missed some time and has been fine since returning. In her first game back against the Mystics, she had five points, three rebounds, six assists and one steal. In the next game, she had 11 points, five rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals. Those are fine numbers. Jefferson can produce for you, which is better than most of the guards on this slate can say.

If you're feeling risky at guard, you could take a swing on a higher-upside play like, umm...oh, nevermind. The next guard below Jefferson on DraftKings is a full $2,000 cheaper and it's Rachel Banham, who is unplayable with Jefferson back. There's really not a single value guard on this slate that I feel good about playing. Maybe Shatori Walker-Kimbrough? But probably not, as she's had 12.75 DK points or less in five consecutive games. MoJeff is basically the cheapest guard I can justify.

Seattle Storm Spread (-6)

Have seen this anywhere between -5 and -6 so far. Either way, take it. The Storm are starting to play their best basketball. The Lynx are a wounded team. I'll take the Storm side of this all the way up to -8 or -8.5, if it trends that way. Getting it at the -5.5 I got it at last night was a complete steal.
