WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks (9/12/20): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 9/12/20. Expert WNBA DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for DraftKings and FanDuel.

The final weekend of WNBA regular season action is upon us. Three games today. Three tomorrow. Then, we'll know who is heading to the postseason. And because the season is nearly over, we get some interesting conundrums -- who might be benched to keep them healthy for the playoffs, who is still playing for things, etc. etc.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 9/12/20. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

WNBA - DFS Guards

Leilani Mitchell (G, Washington Mystics) – vs New York Liberty (DK: $8,400, FD: $7,500)

Mitchell has nine or more assists in four consecutive games. No, she's not Courtney Vandersloot, but she is a solid WNBA point guard with some good options who can score off her passes. She's also been shooting a lot of threes lately and while they haven't been dropping, that volume is still encouraging heading into what I expect to be a high-scoring matchup.

Paris Kea (G, New York Liberty) – vs Washington Mystics (DK: $6,900, FD: $6,000)

With Layshia Clarendon done for the year, their replacement in the starting five is Paris Kea, who is also the only true point guard who'll be suiting up. I expect that to mean big minutes for a player trying to prove she belongs in the league -- on this team or a different one-- in 2021.

I do wish Kea's salary was lower, but I'll take the upside against Washington. She'll be the primary initiator for this Liberty team.

Jocelyn Willoughby (G, New York Liberty) – vs Washington Mystics (DK: $6,400, FD: $4,500)

Another player trying to prove she belongs on this Liberty roster going forward.

Willoughby struggled early in 2020, but has hit her stride lately. Her scoring has been inconsistent, though she did score 21 two games ago. But in her new starting role and without Amanda Zahui B on the floor as much, Willoughby has been grabbing a good number of rebounds each game, and is coming off a solid eight-point, eight-rebound performance. Risky play just like Kea, but someone with something to prove at the end of the season.

WNBA - DFS Forwards

Myisha Hines-Allen (F, Washington Mystics) – vs New York Liberty (DK: $10,900 FD: $6,200)

Yep, we're stacking this game. Washington has to win. New York is going to throw a lot of young, energy players out. OFFENSE.

MHA has continued to play well after her strong start, to the point that she's getting All-WNBA Second Team consideration now. She's coming off a monster game against the Sparks in which she scored 30 points -- her third game in a row with at least 20, by the way -- and added eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals. She's been dishing out more assists lately, has three double-digit rebound games in her last six, and is looking to push the Mystics into the eight seed.

Dearica Hamby (F, Las Vegas Aces) – vs Los Angeles Sparks (DK: $8,900, FD: $6,300)

The Aces are fighting for seeding. And while A'ja Wilson and Jackie Young might be the first two names you think of for DFS purposes on Saturday, don't forget about Dearica Hamby. Last game, she scored eight points, breaking a six-game stretch of double-digit point outputs for the Sixth Woman of the Year favorite. Hamby had 11 rebounds and six assists in that one, though, and she's been filling the box score up in a variety of ways on a nightly basis. She had 10 points, nine rebounds, and three assists the last time the Aces faced the Sparks.

Teaira McCowan (F, Indiana Fever) – vs Minnesota Lynx (DK: $8,500, FD: $5,300)

Look, the Fever have done weird things with their rotation all year, by which I mainly mean that a rebuilding team has not started their most interesting young player on a regular basis.

Her issues defending in space are a big part of that. But she's a dominant inside player in the minutes she gets and is easily capable of a double-double.

You have one more chance to get this right this year, Fever. Give McCowan the minutes. We've seen her produce the last few games, as she's shot 60 percent or better in three consecutive contests, including going 6-for-7 for 14 points against the Liberty. She also had a double-double the last time she faced Minnesota.
