Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 8/29/20. Expert WNBA DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for DraftKings and FanDuel.

We have another three-game slate of WNBA action on Saturday, including two games on national broadcast stations. Storm/Sky is on ABC, followed by the only CBS game of the season, which features the Wings and Fever facing off.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 8/29/20. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

WNBA - DFS Guards

Arike Ogunbowale (G, Dallas Wings) – vs Indiana Fever (DK: $10,500, FD: $7,700)

Moriah Jefferson is done for the year, which means we'll keep seeing the Arike/Marina Mabrey backcourt that's been such fun on offense recently. Ogunbowale has six 20-plus point games in a row, plus three games in a row with at least five assists. Factor in how many steals she's been getting and the fact that the Fever have the league's second-worst defensive rating and you get a lot of positives for the second-year guard. I know that she shot a season-low 22.7 percent in the first meeting with Indiana, but I don't expect a repeat of that at all.

Jewell Loyd (G, Seattle Storm) – vs Chicago Sky (DK: $8,700, FD: $6,600)

Sue Bird remains out, which means Jewell Loyd remains a high-upside play. Sure, she's going through a rough patch -- a combined 2-for-18 from the field over the past two games -- but we saw in her 35-point game against Indiana what her ceiling is. Chicago's been midpack defensively this year, so Loyd shouldn't be negatively impacted by their defensive effort.

Jackie Young (G, Las Vegas Aces) – vs New York Liberty (DK: $6,200, FD: $5,400)

Matchups against the New York Liberty tend to be good for the team facing New York. The Liberty have the league's third-worst defensive rating and tend to get blown out a lot.

Young had herself a really strong stretch and then saw her numbers drop off again, but the former No. 1 overall pick has had some moments this year and looked good in the team's last game against the Wings, scoring 11 points with three rebounds and four assists. In her last meeting with New York, Young played 32 minutes, scoring 15 points to go along with seven rebounds, three assists, and a steal. I like her upside on Saturday.

WNBA - DFS Forwards

Breanna Stewart (F, Seattle Storm) – vs Chicago Sky (DK: $12,500 FD: $8,400)

Yes, playing Stewie is one of those obvious things that you know you should do, but I think it's even more important against a Sky team that struggles to prevent points in the paint. Stewart can score inside and outside, which will stretch the limits of this Sky defense, especially if they don't have Azura Stevens back yet.

In the first meeting between these teams, Chicago had no answer. Stewart scored 25 points on 10-for-17 shooting, adding five rebounds, seven assists, four steals, and a block as well. It was a stellar performance by the 2018 MVP, who might have the league's highest ceiling on Saturday.

Kayla Thornton (F, Dallas Wings) – vs Indiana Fever (DK: $6,900, FD: $5,500)

With Isabelle Harrison out, the Wings last game saw them start Astou Ndour at center but then quickly go away from her, playing lineups with a Thornton/Sabally front court. Sabally was the big story in that one with 28 off the bench, but if you're looking for a more affordable play on DraftKings, Thornton had 10 points and four rebounds in that one while dealing with foul trouble. She's scored in double figures in three of the last four games, shaking off a rough period of play that at one point saw her score four points total in a three-game span. But Thornton's shot is returning, and she'll get some run at the five against a team allowing the second-most paint points in the WNBA.

(Also, on FanDuel, Sabally is only $600 more than Thornton, so Sabally's arguably a better option there.)

Teaira McCowan (F, Indiana Fever) – vs Dallas Wings (DK: $6,200, FD: $5,300)

McCowan has had a pretty uneven season, but the Wings allow more points in the paint than any other WNBA team, so if there's a game to target a McCowan breakout, this is the one. Her last few games haven't been great from a scoring perspective as she's faced some versatile teams, but she had double-digit rebounds in two of the past three games. With Isabelle Harrison out, Dallas will struggle to put any size up against McCowan inside.
