WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks (8/28/21): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 8/28/21. Expert WNBA DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for DraftKings and FanDuel.

Three WNBA games on Saturday, including an early game between the Aces and Fever.

Then at night, we get some fun ones. The Sparks visit the Sun, while the Wings take on the Mystics.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 8/28/21. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

WNBA DFS Lineup Picks: Guard

DeWanna Bonner (Connecticut Sun) - vs Sparks - DK: $10,100, FD: $X

Hard to go wrong with either of the $10k plays at guard, especially since Dallas will be without Allisha Gray, which gives a boost to Arike Ogunbowale. But for the purposes of the lineup I'm building while working on this article, Bonner fits better.

It feels like the WNBA world keeps forgetting about Bonner because so much attention is being paid to teammate Jonquel Jones, but she's averaging 16.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game.

She only grabbed five rebounds in her last game against the Sparks, but did have 14 points and five assists. It was her worst game since the Olympic break, but it was still a really good showing. If she's getting 25-plus fantasy points on an off night where she shoots 28.6 percent, then I'm playing her and hoping she bounces back.

Jackie Young (Las Vegas Aces) - @ Fever - DK: $7,300, FD: $

I like the idea of going heavy on Aces players in this game. Vegas just almost lost to the Dream; they're going to go out there and demolish the Fever to make up for it.

Young has been inconsistent lately, but in two games against Indiana earlier in the year, she averaged 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game.

This version of the Fever is even weaker defensively with a lot of injuries and missing players, opening up more chances for the Aces players. I really like Young plus Chelsea Gray and Kelsey Plum, but Young is my favorite mix of upside and value.

Victoria Vivians (Indiana Fever) - vs Aces - DK: $6,700, FD: $

It's been super cool to see Victoria Vivians finally playing like we all hoped she'd play.

In August, Vivians is averaging 12.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. In July, she averaged just 5.3 points, just to put this in perspective.

Also worth noting: she's averaging 28.3 minutes per game this month! Vivians is a solid value option with nice upside right now, and I'm so happy about it.

WNBA DFS Lineup Picks: Forward

Myisha Hines-Allen (Washington Mystics) - vs Wings - DK: $9,900, FD: $

Tina Charles is out. Elena Delle Donne is questionable. The Wings don't have a lot going on in the frontcourt when it comes to defense, as I think MHA is versatile enough to negate what's made Bella Alarie work against certain teams.

Hines-Allen's numbers are down this year, but with no Charles and possibly no EDD, we should see numbers closer to the ones that Hines-Allen averaged last season: 17.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists plus 1.2 threes per game.

This makes her my favorite play on this whole slate. This will be a 2020 throwback performance from last year's All-WNBA Second Team forward.

Liz Cambage (Las Vegas Aces) - @ Fever - DK: $9,700, FD: $

With Dearica Hamby (ankle) out, the Aces frontcourt is going to rely heavily on Liz Cambage and A'ja Wilson. Both are great plays, but I'm leaning Cambage on this slate.

Why?

Well, there's the fact that Cambage has scored at least 15 points in five of the last six games. Or the fact that she's coming off of a game where she combined for six blocks and steals.

Or there's the fact she's averaging a double-double this season against the Fever and is shooting 64.3 percent against them.

Yeah, that last one -- let's go with that as the most compelling reason here.

Bella Alarie (Dallas Wings) - @ Mystics - DK: $6,100, FD: $

With the Mystics fairly light upfront for this one, I think we can see a strong game from Alarie, who has really impressed me since the Wings put her in the starting lineup.

As a starter, Alarie is averaging 5.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, and she's had 14 or more fantasy points in three of those four games. She's also recorded at least one block in four of the past five games, and she's been extremely efficient.

Alarie hasn't become the dynamic wing that a lot of people expected she would be, but she's becoming a really solid center, and I think she's a solid value option on this slate.
