WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks (8/26/23): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings, FanDuel

WNBA dfs lineup picks daily fantasy basketball stock

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 8/26/23. Expert WNBA DFS advice for DraftKings and FanDuel.

We've got two WNBA games on the docket for Saturday night. The Aces take on the Mystics in the first game, followed one hour later by the start of the Liberty and the Lynx. This is a big game for Washington, as the Mystics are just 3-7 in the last 10 games and have slid to eighth in the standings. If Washington isn't careful, it will fall out of the playoff picture.

If you're looking for WNBA daily fantasy picks and some betting advice this season, then you're in the right place. I'll be here providing picks for any slate with two or more games, offering my insight into the league.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel. These lineup picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The slates lock on 8/26/2023 at 7:00 PM ET. Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

WNBA DFS Picks: Forward

A'ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces) @ WAS (DK: $11,300, FD: $9,500)

This past week, A'ja Wilson tied the WNBA single-game scoring record of 53 points, going 16-for-23 from the floor and 20-for-21 from the free throw line. And then, in the next game, she didn't show any signs of fatigue from that performance.

In a win on Thursday against Chicago, Wilson was 9-for-16 from the floor with 18 points, 10 rebounds, two blocks, and one steal. She might not have hit her scoring average of 21.8 points per game, but she still had a strong showing.

Now, she takes on the Mystics. The last time she faced this Washington team, Wilson was magnificent, scoring 40 points on 17-for-25 shooting with 12 rebounds.

Shakira Austin (Washington Mystics) vs. LV (DK: $6,600, FD: $5,800)

Austin is still playing limited minutes since returning from her month-plus absence, but she also is delivering in those minutes. In 19 minutes last game, Austin was 5-for-10 from the floor for 13 points while also adding seven rebounds, one block, and two steals.

She's played slightly more minutes every night since returning. If that trend continues, Austin should play 20-plus minutes on Saturday for the first time since June 25. At this salary point on both platforms, 20-plus minutes of Shakira Austin is a must for your fantasy lineup.

Dorka Juhasz (Minnesota Lynx) vs. NY (DK: $6,400, FD: $6,000)

Juhasz isn't consistently producing like she was earlier in the season now that the Lynx are closer to full strength, but she's still scored 20-plus fantasy points in three of the last four contests.

Last time out against Dallas, Juhasz played 22 minutes, scoring nine points on 4-for-9 shooting with three rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal. Her scoring numbers are low, but she's added in some interest from a playmaking standpoint, with three or more assists in four consecutive contests.

WNBA DFS Picks: Guard

Sabrina Ionescu (New York Liberty) @ MIN (DK: $9,900, FD: $7,600)

Ionescu consistently produces across the board for the Liberty and is averaging 16.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game this season. The former college star has been unlocked playing beside Breanna Stewart, and she's shooting 44.2% from three this year, the best mark of her WNBA career.

Last time out against Connecticut, Ionescu had 18 points on 5-for-13 shooting with four rebounds, four assists, and one steal. She made multiple three-pointers for the eighth consecutive contest.

Ionescu had 18 points, five rebounds, six assists, and three steals when these teams met earlier this month. She was 6-for-11 from beyond the arc.

Jackie Young (Las Vegas Aces) @ WAS (DK: $9,500, FD: $7,000)

Young started this season off with a bang, scoring 20-plus points in five of the first seven games of the season. She's cooled off since then, but the former No. 1 overall pick is still posting strong numbers for the Aces, averaging 18.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.

Last game, Young scored 24 points on 8-for-14 shooting in a win over the Sky. She also added 10 rebounds, five assists, and one steal in the contest.

In her most recent meeting with Washington, Young scored 17 points and went 3-for-5 from three. She also added two rebounds, four assists, and one steal in the Vegas victory.

Ariel Atkins (Washington Mystics) vs. LV (DK: $5,900, FD: $5,400)

Atkins has now played three games since returning from her five-week absence. Last time out, she played 20 minutes, her most since returning. While she scored just seven points, I'm more interested in her volume from that game, as Atkins took 11 field goal attempts, with six of those coming from behind the arc. Sure, she was 2-for-11 overall and 1-for-6 from three, but the opportunities are what matters here.

Since returning, Atkins has recorded a steal in every game, and in 16 minutes against Dallas, she scored 13 points. The Mystics clearly want to get the ball in Atkins' hands when she's on the floor, and with her minutes trending up, she should be on the floor more than she has been since returning.
