Another week of WNBA action is here. Since we last spoke, the Wings announced Isabelle Harrison and Moriah Jefferson were done for the season and the Atlanta Dream moved on from Alexis Jones, signing Kaela Davis to a seven-day contract.
In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 8/25/20. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

WNBA - DFS Guards
Courtney Vandersloot (G, Chicago Sky) – vs New York Liberty (DK: $11,000, FD: $7,600)
Vandersloot's DraftKings price is a little high for my liking, but we've got an MVP-level offensive player taking on a struggling New York Liberty team. That's a combination I for sure want to target. Vandersloot just played against New York, scoring 19 points and dishig out 10 assists in that one, plus grabbing three boards and recording four steals against a turnover-prone young team.
Jazmine Jones (G, New York Liberty) – vs Chicago Sky (DK: $7,900, FD: $5,800)
This is where some big pricing differences come into play. Jones is the 11th-highest priced guard on DraftKings and the fifth-highest priced on FanDuel.
Jones has been playing some of the best basketball on this Liberty team, and while I'd be really hesitant on FanDuel where her salary is higher than Kelsey Mitchell, I think she's well-priced on DraftKings. In the last meeting between these teams, Jones scored 18 points and added four rebounds, two assists, three steals, and two blocks. Her ability to fill up every part of the stat sheet gives her upside, as does the fact that head coach Walt Hopkins has now subbed her in super early in the first quarter in consecutive games.
Sami Whitcomb (G, Seattle Storm) – vs Indiana Fever (DK: $6,100, FD: $5,500)
With Sue Bird out again and Seattle facing an Indiana team that has the second-worst defensive rating in the league, I think Sami Whitcomb is a really good value play on this slate. She'll get the most minutes among Seattle's bench unit, and she has five games this season with at least 14 points. She is coming off her worst performance of the year against Vegas, but when she last faced Indiana, she had a solid game, with eight points, four rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block.
WNBA - DFS Forwards
Breanna Stewart (F, Seattle Storm) – vs Indiana Fever (DK: $12,200 FD: $8,200)
As stated above, Indiana has the second-worst defensive rating in the league, but they did hold Stewart in check when these teams met last week, as she scored 18 points on 5-for-18 shooting -- including a 1-for-8 game from three -- with five rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.
But, like...that was a bad game for Stewart and it was still a good game. In this rematch, I don't expect the Fever to shut Stewie down again. She'll play aggressive, the shots will fall at a rate much closer to her average, and she'll continue to make her case for league MVP.
Gabby Williams (F/G, Chicago Sky) – vs New York Liberty (DK (forward): $6,400, FD (guard): $4,700)
It's a little annoying that the sites categorize Williams's position differently, but oh well -- let's talk about her as a forward. Azura Stevens is going to miss her second game in a row, leaving the Sky in need of more offense from their non-guards, especially with Diamond DeShields out as well. With Stevens out last game, Williams only scored four points on six shots, but she did a lot of other stuff, grabbing six rebounds to go along with three assists and four steals in 35 minutes. Williams scored in double figures in three of the first four games this year and then hasn't since, but injuries mean she should step back into a larger role against a porous Liberty defense.
Astou Ndour (F, Dallas Wings) – vs Las Vegas Aces (DK: $5,900, FD: $3,700)
With Isabelle Harrison done for the year, Ndour stepped back into a larger role after a mid-season lull in her playing time. In 16 minutes of action, she scored seven points on 3-for-7 shooting, adding three rebounds and an assist.
Not a huge game from her, but if you're looking for a low-cost punt play, Ndour's going to continue to see increased minutes and the Wings went to her early in their last game. She also had one of her best games of the year the last time these teams faced, playing 20 minutes and scoring nine points on 4-for-10 shooting with four rebounds and two blocks. Her ability to stretch the floor can bother Vegas's starting front court, which can help contribute to Ndour having a solid but ultimately not spectacular day. But hey, if her salary helps you fit in both Vandersloot and Stewart? Worth the risk.
