WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks (7/22/19): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 7/22/19. Expert WNBA DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for DraftKings and FanDuel.

We have three games in the WNBA on Tuesday, and while it's not the most exciting slate of games on paper, there are some games of interest, including the Aces hosting the Storm. With the All-Star break upon us, this will be the last time we see these six teams until next Tuesday.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 7/22/19. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

WNBA - DFS Guards

DeWanna Bonner (G, Phoenix Mercury) – vs Indiana Fever (DK: $11,200, FD: $8,000)

When in doubt, target players taking on the Indiana Fever. The Fever allow the second-most points in the league and they're allowing an average of 82.6 points with 37.2 percent shooting from three over the past five games. This is a team that let Allie Quigley score 19 points and Courtney Vandersloot dish out 14 assists on Sunday. It's a team I want to play against for DFS purposes.

Bonner's had some down games lately, but back-to-back games against a surprisingly decent Dallas Wings perimeter defense didn't help things. Bonner should see a pretty large volume in this game, and the Fever don't really have the tools to stop her.

Kayla McBride (G, Las Vegas Aces) – vs Seattle Storm (DK: $8,200, FD: $6,800)

Over the last five games, the Storms are allowing opponents to shoot 41.9 percent from three. They have one great defensive guard in Jordin Canada who can slow up players at the point of attack, but they don't really have the means to stop off-guards and wings. Meanwhile, Kayla McBride's been shooting well from deep lately, a trend that should continue in this one. I can easily see her cracking the 20-point mark.

Betnijah Laney (G, Indiana Fever) – @ Phoenix Mercury (DK: $6,800, FD: $5,900)

As long as Diana Taurasi remains out, the Mercury don't scare me from a defensive point of view. (And, honestly, I don't really think they'll scare me when Taurasi is back, but this isn't the time for that discussion.)

Laney has been playing some solid basketball. She's taken nine shots in three straight games, and she's provided the Fever with some rebounding and assists as well. After three games in a row without making a three, she was 2-for-3 from deep against the Sky, and I'd look for her to drain one or two shots from deep on Tuesday.

WNBA - DFS Forwards

Chiney Ogwumike (F, Los Angeles Sparks) – vs Atlanta Dream (DK: $9,900, FD: $7,200)

The Dream are playing better lately, but they've still allowed the fourth-most points over the last five games and have struggled all year to prevent points in the paint. Skilled bigs have a chance to do big things against this team, and the Sparks definitely have some skilled bigs.

I went with Chiney over sister Nneka here mainly because Chiney's cheaper on both sites. She's not been a high-volume scorer lately, but she's been efficient with the ball in her hands, has done a good job of working her way to the foul line, and is rebounding well. Something like 15 points and eight rebounds seems like a solid baseline for Ogwumike in this one, and she has the potential to do even better than that.

Natalie Achonwa (F, Indiana Fever) – @ Phoenix Mercury (DK: $6,900, FD: $6,500)

While Teaira McCowan's rebounding was the big story of Indiana's last game, Natalie Achonwa is still the team's starting center and still their most versatile big. I could see McCowan struggling inside against Brittney Griner in this one, but Achonwa's ability to step out to the mid-range will come in handy. She'll score efficiently and grab a good number of rebounds.

Dearica Hamby (F, Las Vegas Aces) – vs Seattle Storm (DK: $6,300, FD: $5,200)

With A'ja Wilson (ankle) set to miss some time, Hamby moves into the starting lineup for Las Vegas. In her first start since the Wilson injury, she had 14 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. She's a good value on both DFS sites right now and is the kind of do-it-all player who can rack up numbers even if she doesn't shoot as much as other players.
