Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups - Week 15

Justin Carter's fantasy football wide receiver waiver wire pickups for Week 15 of the 2020 NFL season. These are free agent WRs to add, stream and stash.

The fantasy playoffs are in full swing, so you know what that means: there's no need at this point to pick anyone up off waivers who can't tangibly help you in the short term. We're past the speculative additions part of the season.

This means that this week's waiver column would be a little shorter than usual, so we're also expanding what rostered rates we usually look at from 30 percent up to 50 percent, just in case you're in a shallow league and are looking for someone to help you make that final run at the title.

So, let's talk waiver wire options at wide receiver. Not all options are the same. Some players may be better in PPR or deeper leagues, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all comparison. Use your best judgment when deciding which of these players is the right fit for your roster. Check out our Waiver Wire Adds for Week 14 for help at all the skill positions.

Editor's Note: The FFPC Playoff Challenge #2 is back with a massive $100,000 grand prize and $203,250 total prize pool, paying down to 100th place. Here's the deal: no salary cap, no draft, no pickups, no subs. Choose 8 players, and as NFL teams get knocked out so will your players, so choose your team wisely. The entries will sell out quickly, and registrations will close on Saturday January 17th at 4:30 pm ET . Don't wait - get your team now and end your fantasy football season with a shot at $100,000! Keke Coutee, Houston Texans

45% rostered

While it was Chad Hansen who led the team in targets, yards, and receptions this week, Hansen's role is dependent on Brandin Cooks missing another week. Considering he was close to playing Sunday, I wouldn't bet on that. But Coutee should still be playing a prime role in Week 15 against the Colts, and while his three catches for 24 yards this week weren't great, he did find the end zone. And his ceiling with Deshaun Watson throwing him the ball is incredibly high.

Michael Gallup, Dallas Cowboys

44% rostered

Gallup led the Cowboys receivers in targets on Sunday with six. And while he only had two catches for 23 yards, he's now had five or more targets in six consecutive games. He's not being super productive with those opportunities, but if you need a high upside play against the 49ers next week or Eagles the week after and Gallup is on the wire, there are worse options.

A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals

37% rostered

A.J. Green has zero receptions in three of the last five games, but was targeted seven times this week, catching six passes for 62 yards and a touchdown. Should you pick him back up and play him against the Steelers? Probably not, but Week 16 against Houston could be a good shot for Green to provide deep-league FLEX value.

Nelson Agholor, Las Vegas Raiders

35% rostered

Agholor had nine targets this week, which puts him at 20 of them over the past two games. Like plenty of names on this list, Agholor isn't a safe play right now, but he does have four or more receptions in four consecutive games, and the Chargers are a good matchup for him. Consider him a WR4 play.

Keelan Cole Sr., Jacksonville Jaguars

24% rostered

There were a lot of available targets this week for the Jaguars, just as there likely will be against Baltimore next week. Cole got 12 of those targets, his most of the season, and caught seven passes for 67 yards and a score. You probably shouldn't trust Cole next week, but he's mostly been a productive player this year, with just a few excepti0ns.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Green Bay Packers

20% rostered

MVS bounced back after a week after catching neither of his targets to catch six passes for 85 yards and a touchdown. He remains a high-ceiling, low-floor fantasy play, one with a good matchup coming up in Week 15 in which he'll have that boom potential.

Russell Gage, Atlanta Falcons

11% rostered

Will we see Julio Jones again this year? At this point, with his hamstring issues and the Falcons on a two-game losing streak, it seems like the Falcons will at least be cautious with him and keep him sidelined next week if he isn't back to full strength. And if Jones is out, Gage has some solid value, as he was targeted seven times this week, catching five passes for 82 yards. If Jones is back, Gage shouldn't be in your lineups, but if the Falcons go another week without him, there's FLEX appeal, even against the Buccaneers.

Damiere Byrd, New England Patriots

3% rostered

Byrd's eight targets were just one fewer than Jakobi Meyers and N'Keal Harry combined, and he now has seven or more targets in three of the past four games. It's only resulted in one really huge showing, but if you want to trust someone in this receiving corps against Miami next week, it should be Byrd, even if I wouldn't trust him too much.

Kendrick Bourne, San Francisco 49ers

3% rostered

Deebo Samuel exited Sunday's game with a hamstring injury, and it looks like he could be done for the year. That opens space back up for Bourne, who was targeted seven times this week, catching three passes for 42 yards. Bourne isn't an exciting play, but his floor is higher than some other options you might have, as he'll at least get you six points or so in full PPR.

Danny Amendola, Detroit Lions

2% rostered

Will we see Kenny Golladay again this year? Probably even more unlikely than seeing Julio Jones, as Golladay last played in Week 8. Amendola posted his second game in a row with 60-ish yards -- it was 66 this week on six catches -- and it looks like he's settling into a decent role as a guy with a solid fantasy floor in full PPR, even if his ceiling is extremely limited.

Lynn Bowden Jr., Miami Dolphins

1% rostered

DeVante Parker hurt his leg. Jakeem Grant didn't do much and missed time with injury as well. And Bowden was targeted nine times, catching seven passes for 82 yards. Bowden -- who also has running back eligibility -- has a lot of potential if he plays a larger role next week against the Patriots, as he can make things happen if he gets the ball in the opening field.
