Week 14 of the NFL season is here and three options at the tight end position you should be considering for fantasy football lineups this week are Pat Freiermuth, Cade Otton, and Jonnu Smith.
The fantasy football playoffs are right around the corner for most leagues, so start and sit decisions are as important as ever this week.
Should fantasy managers play Freiermuth, Otton, and Smith this week? What is their fantasy football outlook?
Should I Start Pat Freiermuth for Fantasy Football?
Pat Freiermuth had a big day at the office in the Steelers win over Cincinnati last week, grabbing six of seven targets for 68 yards and a touchdown.

The seven targets were a season-high as the Steelers were drawn into a shootout with the Bengals offense. Most of the year, Freiermuth has been a TE2 with the lack of volume that he had been getting, but he was targeted four times against the Browns last time and the Steelers' passing game relies on play action and a lot of routes from their tight ends, so he's not out of the question as a plug-and-play option in deeper leagues.
Should I Start Jonnu Smith for Fantasy Football?
Jonnu Smith's ascension to the top of the TE ranks has been something pretty fun to watch. He spent a lot of years playing in offenses that failed to maximize his athleticism and potential as a pass catcher, but the Dolphins are finally utilizing his talents.

Smith has 25 catches over the last three weeks on 30 targets. There's no reason to think that Miami goes away from him as he's been their most reliable option to keep the chains moving. Fire him up with confidence as your TE1 and enjoy the value as you likely drafted him very late or snagged him off the waiver wire.
Should I Start Cade Otton for Fantasy Football?
Cade Otton enjoyed quite a run earlier this season when the Bucs were without any reliable wideouts, but he has since come back to Earth in terms of his production with Mike Evans back and the Tampa ground game churning out yardage.

The good news is that he continues to play the vast majority of the snaps on offense (94% last week) and could be called into heavier duty this week as the Raiders are better against the run than the pass. Look for Otton to be more involved this week and possibly bounce back in a big way. He's still a TE1 play, though his floor is lower than some others. His ceiling is still there, however, and Tampa is implied to score a lot of points in this one.
