Week 13 Kicker Streamers and Starts - 2023 Fantasy Tiers, Rankings

Brandon Aubrey - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups, Kickers, Streamers

Tony Camino breaks down all 2023 fantasy football Week 13 kickers - streamers, starts, sits, targets, avoids, and waiver wire pickups. Our Week 13 rankings and tiers for all of the NFL kickers.

The fantasy football regular season is winding down; we only have two weeks left. We are back with more fantasy football advice to help you set those winning lineups with our Week 13 fantasy football kicker streamer and starts. Selecting the right kicker could be the difference between winning or losing your league matchup.

We'll aim to replicate some of Week 12's success, with Blake Grupe scoring 18 points, Brandon McManus posting an impressive 13 points, while Younghoe Koo managed a modest six points. Hopefully, you stayed away from the kickers to avoid, as Greg Zuerlein finished with zero points and Anders Carlson earned just four points.

Let’s get right to it with my kicker rankings, the top streaming options, and who to avoid for Week 13.

Kicker Streamers to Target in Week 13

All streamers in this article are rostered in under 60% of Yahoo leagues.

Blake Grupe (NO) vs. Detroit Lions (6% Rostered)

New Orleans Saints kicker Blake Grupe maintains his position on this list after yet another stellar week, scoring 18 points in Week 12 against the Atlanta Falcons. This impressive performance was fueled by making five of six kicks, including one from 50-plus yards and two in the 40-49 range. Grupe now holds the seventh spot among kickers for the season, averaging 9.27 fantasy points per game.

In Week 13, the Saints face the Detroit Lions at home, a team that has allowed the 11th-fewest points per game to kickers this season. Despite the Lions' solid defense, playing at home favors Grupe, who has consistently delivered double-digit fantasy outputs in all but one home game, with the lowest score being seven points. The rookie kicker has been fantastic, and he is poised for another strong performance against a Lions' defense that may force the Saints to rely on their kicking game.

Brandon McManus (JAX) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (47% Rostered)

Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Brandon McManus has secured his spot on this list for the past two weeks, and his impressive performances show no signs of slowing down. The 32-year-old has achieved double-digit fantasy outputs in consecutive weeks, currently holding the second-best kicker position for the season. With an average of 9.82 points per game and six instances of posting 10 or more points, McManus has become a reliable asset.

In the upcoming game against the Bengals, who allow the 11th-most points per game to kickers this season, McManus is poised for another strong showing. Although he experienced his first miss since Week 3, a 55-yard attempt in the fourth quarter, his overall record stands at an impressive 23-for-26 on field goals and a perfect 23-for-23 on extra points this season. With the Jaguars' offense showing promising improvement, McManus should no longer be available on waivers.

Nick Folk (TEN) vs. Indianapolis Colts (19% Rostered)

Tennessee Titans kicker Nick Folk is coming off a modest seven-point performance in Week 12, where he successfully drilled his only field goal attempt from an impressive 53 yards. The seasoned veteran boasts a solid record of 21-of-22 on field goals this season, securing him as the 12th-best kicker with an average of 8.55 points per game.

In the upcoming Week 13 matchup against the Colts, Folk is in a favorable position, as the Colts allow the second-most points per game to kickers this season. In their previous encounter in Week 5, Folk delivered a stellar performance, making all three of his field goal attempts and finishing with an impressive 12-point output. The 39-year-old has shown consistency in scoring in double-digits, especially in home games, achieving this feat in three out of the team's five matches at home and only falling below seven points once. With the Titans expected to reach field goal range multiple times, managers can confidently rely on Folk for Week 13.

Kickers to Avoid in Week 13

Fantasy players should always stream the kicker position. However, it’s important to avoid picking up and starting a kicker that will be a bust. Let’s see which two kickers you shouldn’t pick up off the waiver wire this week.

Greg Zuerlein (NYJ) vs. Atlanta Falcons (9% Rostered)

New York Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein finds himself in a challenging position as he hasn't attempted a single field goal in the past two weeks. The Jets' struggling offense, regardless of the quarterback, has been a major obstacle, and the recent switch to Tim Boyle appears to have worsened their woes. Despite finally having extra point attempts, Zuerlein missed one of his two tries, resulting in a second-straight zero-point output.

While the Jets have a seemingly favorable matchup in Week 13 against the Falcons, who allow the fifth-most points per game to kickers this season, there are complicating factors. The Falcons play their home games in a dome, which tends to inflate kicker scores. However, Week 13 will see the Jets playing in the cold MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. Given the lackluster performance of the Jets' offense at the moment, Zuerlein should be avoided despite his solid talent at the position.

Eddy Pineiro (CAR) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1% Rostered)

Carolina Panthers kicker Eddy Pineiro currently holds the 25th position among kickers this season, averaging just 7.18 points per game. Despite having missed only three field goals all season, the 28-year-old hasn't achieved a double-digit game since Week 3. In Week 12, Pineiro managed an extra point and a successful 50-yard field goal, resulting in just six points.

Facing the Buccaneers in Week 13, who are middle-of-the-pack in points allowed to kickers this season, the Panthers are undergoing a coaching change with the recent firing of head coach Frank Reich. With a 1-10 record and ranking third-last in offensive success rate, the team is struggling to move the ball consistently. Until the Panthers can address these issues, it's advisable to avoid relying on Pineiro for fantasy points.
