Week 12 Stream Team - Free Agent and Bye-Week Streamers

Kipp Heisterman picks his All-Stream Team for Week 12. These fantasy football free agents could be valuable streamers and bye-week waiver wire pickups or adds.

Now that the bye weeks are in full swing, streaming becomes a more viable and almost necessary strategy. Knowing who to add and when to start them could be the ultimate difference-maker in a weekly matchup. Making the right streaming decisions throughout the season could easily be the difference between missing the playoffs and having a shot to win a championship.

Each week, I will create a team of streamers for you to choose from. They will be broken down based on ownership levels and league size. I will make specific recommendations for 14, 12, and 10-team leagues to give you the most guidance possible when selecting a streamer. 14-team streamers will be players with ownership levels around 15%, 12-teamers will be around 30%, and 10-teamers will be around the 45% mark. Keep in mind that just because a player is listed as a streamer for a particular league size, it does not mean you can't use them in a different league size. For instance, if a 12-team league streamer is available in your 14-team league, by all means, use them accordingly.

Let's take a look at Week 12's best streaming options with some highlighted players to keep an especially close eye on.

Stream Team for 14-Team Leagues

Dwayne Haskins (QB, WAS) - 10% Owned

This is a purely matchup based recommendation. The Redskins have been flat-out awful in 2019, and Haskins has not helped much when he has played, however, he gets a solid matchup vs. the putrid Lions Defense in Week 12.

The Lions are currently allowing quarterbacks to throw for the third-most passing yards per game with 302.3 yards per game. This trails only the Cardinals and Buccaneers. They have also allowed the fifth-most touchdown passes to quarterbacks with 22. They have allowed these 22 touchdown passes while only intercepting three passes, which is worst in the league. Overall, this equates to them allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks with 21.9 points per game. While Haskins may seem risky, he is likely one of the best options available in 14-team leagues this week.

Chris Conley (WR, JAX) - 13% Owned

I thought Chris Conley would go away after the return of Dede Westbrook, but it turns out that the return of Nick Foles may keep him in the mix moving forward. That and the matchup vs. the Titans this week are why I like streaming him in deeper leagues.

The Titans are currently allowing receivers to average 12 receptions, 171 receiving yards, and just under one touchdown per game. Each of these ranks them in the bottom half of the league. Couple this with the fact that Conley has seen at least seven targets in his last four games (including eight last week with the return of Nick Foles) and you have a wide receiver with plenty of opportunities to exploit this defense. The Titans also allow 23.3 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, and I would expect Conley to get more than a chunk of that this week.

Ryan Griffin (TE, NYJ) - 6% Owned

I recommended Griffin here last week and all he did was put up five receptions for 109 receiving yards and a touchdown. This performance was good for over 21 points in a PPR league. This week he gets a solid matchup vs the Raiders Defense, who have struggled against the tight end position in 2019.

The Raiders have allowed tight ends to haul in 48 receptions for 571 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. These all rank in the bottom half of the league and the seven touchdowns rank them second-worst in the league. It is one of the biggest reasons they allow an average of 9.9 fantasy points per game to the tight end, which ranks them third-worst in the league. This is a perfect spot for Griffin to put up another huge game.

Stream Team for 12-Team Leagues

Sam Darnold (QB, NYJ) - 23% Owned

Sam Darnold has been ripped on all season, and rightfully so, but this week he has a tremendous matchup at home that he should be able to take advantage of.

The Raiders are allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks with 20.7 points per game. This comes in large part due to them allowing quarterbacks to throw for over 281 yards per game and 24 passing touchdowns through 10 games. The 24 passing touchdowns allowed ranks them third-worst in the league. They have also only intercepted eight passes, and Phillip Rivers accounted for three of these by himself in Week 10. Darnold is in a great spot to stream this week and he should come through for you.

Nyheim Hines (RB, IND) - 18% Owned

Streaming running backs in any league this late in the season is going to be a difficult task. Nyheim Hines could help owners out this week, especially with Marlon Mack unable to go.

Hines is mostly used as a pass-catcher out of the backfield, but his role could expand now that Mack will miss time. Even if his role does not expand, the pass-catching role should work just fine this week vs. the Texans. The Texans have allowed the most receptions (73) and second-most receiving yards (619) to running backs this season. They have also allowed the fourth-most receiving touchdowns to backs with four. Hines has seen 11 targets over the last two games and should continue to see looks this week given that the Colts are projected to be trailing in the game and will likely need to be in pass-mode late in the game.

Hunter Renfrow (WR, OAK) - 15% Owned

Hunter Renfrow got off to a very slow start to his rookie campaign but has quickly turned into a more reliable target for Derek Carr. In the previous three weeks, Renfrow has an average of six targets per game. He should continue to see this type of target share moving forward, and has a great chance to exploit the Jets Defense this week.

The Jets are currently allowing wide receivers to average 14 receptions for 178.5 yards per game. They have also allowed 15 receiving touchdowns to wide receivers, which ranks second-worst in the league. Overall, the Jets are third-worst in terms of fantasy points allowed to the position as they allow 27.2 points per game. This is a perfect spot for Renfrow to continue to gain a rapport with Carr as the Raiders continue to make their push for the playoffs. The fact that the Jets also have the top run defense in the league should only lead to more passing on the Raider's part.

Stream Team for 10-Team Leagues

Jacoby Brissett (QB, IND) - 29% Owned

Jacoby Brissett has had a solid 2019 after taking over for Andrew Luck, and this week vs. the Texans should be no different.

Houston has struggled mightily vs. opposing quarterbacks this season to the tune of allowing them to throw for 289.3 yards per game. This ranks them fourth-worst in the league in terms of passing yards per game allowed. They have also given up 22 passing touchdowns and only come away with five interceptions. The 22 passing touchdowns are good for sixth-worst in the league and the five interceptions are the fourth-fewest in the league. All of this equates to Houston allowing 21.1 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, which ranks sixth-worst in the league. Any way you slice it, the Texans are bad against the pass. Start or stream Brissett with confidence Thursday night.

Derrius Guice (RB, WAS) - 48% Owned

I honestly cannot say what the time-share will look like at the running back position on Sunday for the Redskins, but I do know the matchup is solid for any running back that carries or catches the ball. Last week vs. the Jets, Guice carried the ball seven times for 24 yards and added a 45-yard touchdown reception. It was his first action since Week 1 and the Redskins could have looked to ease him back into the mix. Perhaps he sees more carries this week and in subsequent weeks. This week he gets a solid matchup vs. the Lions.

The Lions are currently allowing running backs to average 103.4 rushing yards per game and have given up 10 rushing touchdowns. They have also allowed backs to catch 54 passes for 607 yards and seven touchdowns. They cannot stop running backs at all in Detroit. The fact that Guice can contribute in both the running game and passing game makes him a very dynamic option this week.

Dallas Goedert (TE, PHI) - 20% Owned

Dallas Goedert has seen his role increase over the last few weeks with all the injuries the Eagles have faced. His snap share has increased significantly in the last four weeks as Zach Ertz only outnumbers him by 17 snaps in that span. He has also seen an increase in targets as he has garnered at least five in the previous three games. He also gets a solid matchup vs. the Seahawks this week.

The Seahawks have allowed the 11th-most (51) receptions and seventh-most (615) yards to tight ends in 2019. They have also allowed four touchdowns to the tight end position, which ranks 10th-worst. Overall, this equates to the Seahawks allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to tight ends with 8.6. Goedert should be able to have a solid day as long as he continues to see a similar snap and target share as he has in previous weeks.
