UCL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel (11/24/20) - UEFA Champions League Soccer (Early-only)

RotoBaller soccer expert Vince Dray breaks down the UCL DFS slate for FanDuel on 11/24/20.

Hello, RotoBallers! I'm happy to be back with you for some mid-week soccer. The busy European soccer schedule stays busy this week with Matchday 4 of UCL group stage play. This breakdown will focus on the early-only UCL slate on FanDuel for Tuesday. Keep reading this breakdown for my DFS soccer picks on RotoBaller and see how to have success on Tuesday's slate.

The large majority of my DFS content will be EPL or UCL-related, however, there is always more soccer DFS to cover. If you want to chop it up with myself and other RotoBaller writers about non-EPL/UCL leagues or other sports, consider becoming a premium member and joining our ever-growing community of DFS and fantasy sports enthusiasts! We have had some great conversations in the Premium Slack chat about the past few UCL slates.

You can also get access to my brain for questions and edits to lineups for Tuesday. In this article, I will be providing you with my UEFA Champions League daily fantasy soccer lineup picks for FanDuel on 11/24/20 for the slate that locks at 12:55 pm ET. Be sure to also check out our other DFS lineup picks for other active sports. You can always find me on Twitter @vdray5 if you have any questions. Good luck, RotoBallers!

UCL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview

Rennes vs Chelsea (-170), o/u 3.0

Krasnodar vs Sevilla (-160), o/u 3.0

FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders

This position on the early-only slate on Tuesday starts - and possibly ends - with Chelsea. This is slate to prioritize some Blues attackers on, and stacking them is a strong idea too. Timo Werner ($23) has five goals and an assist in his last four games with Chelsea. He is the most likely anytime scorer in this game at +105, and he is a player you don't want to fade when he heats up. He scored twice against Rennes last match and is a good bet to get back on the scoresheet in this game. Both Tammy Abraham ($19) and Hakim Ziyech ($17) are top-tier plays as well. Abraham has four goals and two assists already this year including a goal in each of his last three games with Chelsea. He follows closely behind Werner in scoring odds at +125. If you want a cheaper way to get some Chelsea exposure, Mason Mount ($13) is your guy. He has had some pretty poor UCL performances this year, but he has been playing better in the PL recently. This is a game Chelsea should dominate possession-wise which should play well to Mount's style. Chelsea are averaging over 2.0 goals per game in the UCL this year, and they lead the EPL in goals scored this season. I would advise against trying to get cute and fading them here.

Aside from Chelsea, the other spot to find an attacker is Sevilla. However, unlike Chelsea, Sevilla are not an explosive team with only 1.4 goals scored per game in La Liga right now. They are not really a stackable team. Luuk de Jong ($22) is one of their better attackers, but $22 is a hefty price to pay for a guy who only has three goals this season. Ivan Rakitic ($17) or Lucas Ocampos ($15) are more economical choices. Rakitic has a stronger floor with peripherals, but Ocampos has the better goal upside at +105 to score. Either should fit pretty well into any lineup as they have a profitable matchup against Krasnodar. The value attackers on this slate are iffy, but Joan Jordan ($13) is a cheaper way to get some Sevilla exposure for cheap.

Neither Chelesa nor Sevilla have been giving up many goals lately which essentially takes all Krasnodar or Rennes attackers out of my player pool.

FanDuel DFS Defenders

If you don't use your four CHE pieces between their attackers and Mendy, the obvious choice is to target one of their wingbacks. Both Ben Chilwell ($15) and Reece James ($14) have been spectacular for Chelsea to begin the season. Chilwell has had some massive fantasy games in the EPL, but we have not really seen that so far in UCL play yet. Regardless, his ceiling remains high. However, he has shown a dangerously low floor for a $15 guy. Reece James has been much more consistent and has a stronger floor with his defensive action. His goal/assist upside is good too especially in a game like this. After these two, there is nothing else to pay up for with Jesus Navas ($14) suspended.

I want to target some Rennes defenders with the way Chelsea force their opponents into making defensive action. Nayef Aguerd ($10) is a strong play. He leads the team in clearances and tackles, plus he is 3rd in interceptions and 4th in blocks. Not to mention he leads the team in chances created, and he also has three goals this year. I'll also take a shot at Brandon Soppy ($6) on this slate if his price helps me get another stud attacker in.

In the mid-tier, Thiago Silva ($11) is a strong play with his defensive stats and a likely clean sheet bonus. However, it doesn't make a ton of sense to use one of your four Chelsea plays on him. Damien Da Silva ($12) is a decent play as well with that matchup against Chelsea.

FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers

Prior to looking at this slate, I fully expected Eduoard Mendy ($12) to be the most expensive keeper on this slate. He has started nine games in all competitions for Chelsea this year, and he has not allowed a goal in seven of them. He has only allowed two goals in that time period as well. He is playing on the road, but he is the most likely GK to pick up the win bonus on Tuesday. He's also facing a Rennes team that has just one goal scored in UCL play this season. Mendy is very easily the chalk GK on the early slate.

Tomas Vaclik ($13) is a fair play. Sevilla are rock-solid defensively having only allowed eight goals in eight La Liga games this year. Sevilla aren't quick as big of favorites as Chelsea, Krasnodar has been scoring more consistently than Rennes, so I'm not sure it makes a ton of sense to pat $1 for Vaclik over Mendy.

Evgeni Gorodov ($5) will likely be starting in the net for Krasnodar on Tuesday. He is an interesting punt with how much salary he can save you. Sevilla might be without one of their better playmakers in Marcos Acuna on Tuesday, and Krasnodar will be looking to make it difficult for them to attack. Sevilla are not a team that scores a ton of goals with only 1.4/game in La Liga. Gorodov is a true low floor, high ceiling play for minimum price on Tuesday.
