BALLER MOVE: Continue scouting
ANALYSIS: The Mets made a trade for the future this past offseason when they dealt Cy Young winner R.A. Dickey to Toronto, and the centerpiece of that trade, catcher Travis d'Arnaud, could be right around the corner from making his debut. The catching prospect has only played in 19 games this season due to a broken foot he suffered in April, but in that time, d'Arnaud has an impressive triple slash of .303/.410/ .545. Current New York catcher John Buck has had a decent season, but it's been no secret that he was just keeping the position warm until d'Arnaud was ready. With September call-ups about two weeks away, now may be a good time to stash a guy who could give you an impact back down the sketch at the catcher slot.
