The First Serve: DraftKings DFS Tennis Picks for 1/15/2025 (Australian Open Day 4)

Brandon Wampler's tennis DFS picks for DraftKings. He picks his favorite tennis matches to target in DraftKings lineups for Australian Open on Wednesday 1/15/2025.

Hey there, RotoBallers! I am Brandon Wampler and I have been playing Tennis DFS since the beginning! After back-to-back days of 30+ matches, tonight, we will see a return to a manageable 23-match slate. Today's slate will not be any easier, however, navigating it together will help us return to winning ways.

In this article, you will find my favorite high-priced, mid-tier, and cheap plays for the DraftKings DFS Tennis slate on Wenesday, January 15, 2025. Without any further ado, let's get into the picks!

High-Tier DFS Tennis Picks ($9K+)

Karen Khachanov - DK $9.1K | ATP Rank: 19

Opponent - Gabriel Diallo | ATP Rank: 86

In a similar story to yesterday, the slate is highlighted by Janik Sinner, Daniil Medvedev, and Alex De Minaur. Karen Khachanov, though, is not far off from the big three and is roughly $2K less salary. The latter holds a 2-0 record against Gabriel Diallo, and both victories are on hard court, with his most recent win at Almaty last season in a 2-1 win. Diallo is playing well, however, he has yet to shine against stronger competition. Meanwhile, Khachanov shows glimpses of his talent.

Khachanov is coming off a 3-0 win against Mannarino to open the Australian Open tab and he has wins against Grigor Dimitrov and Alex Popyrin in October. As one of the higher-ranked players on the ATP side, Khachanov is optimal value when building ‘CASH’ lineups.

Outcome: Khachanov 3-0

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Sinner (DK $11.3K), De Minaur (DK $11.1K), and Medvedev (DK $10K)

Mid-Tier DFS Tennis Picks ($7.6K-$8.9K)

Corentin Moutet - DK $8.5K | ATP Rank: 69

Opponent - Mitchell Krueger | ATP Rank: 146

Corentin Moutet is coming off an upset win over Alex Popyrin, getting his first win on hard court and any surface to start the year. Unlike his opponent Mitchell Krueger, Moutet has held his own against the ‘elite’ of the tour since November. He has won against Jan-Lennard Struff and Andrey Rublev and lost to Cameron Norrie.

Krueger has only played one tour match since October, and that was his 3-0 straight-set win over Rinky Hijikata in Round One of the Australian Open. Despite it being a straight-set victory, the win itself was not nearly as impressive once diving into the metrics. Hijikata gave up relatively early and could not win enough of his serves, setting up Krueger for opportunity after opportunity. Moutet is a more well-rounded player than Hijikata and considering his level of play as of late, will have every chance to extend his stay in Australia.

Outcome: Moutet 3-0

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Tiafoe (DK $8.5K), Lys (DK $8.2K), Bronzetti (DK $8K)

Low-Tier DFS Tennis Picks (<$7.5K)

Lorenzo Musetti - DK $6.8K | ATP Rank: 15

Opponent - Denis Shapovalov | ATP Rank: 56

Lorenzo Musetti will not have an easy match against Denis Shapovalov. However, the former has proven that he can topple the biggest on the tour and already won once against Shapovalov in a 2-1 thrilled at Indian Wells. Dating back to October, Musetti has also proven his worth with wins against Gael Monfils and Alexander Zverev. Shapovalov’s biggest win in his last ten matches since November is Jiri Lehecka.

As the underdog in the matchup, Musetti holds clear value even if he were to lose in a close five-set thriller.

Outcome: Musetti 3-1

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Boulter (DK $7.5K), Giron (DK $7.3K), Gracheva (DK $6.3K)
