Somewhat of a surprise starter in San Diego after a ho-hum season at San Francisco, Stevie Johnson seems to have regained the form that lead him to three straight thousand yard seasons with the Bills.
He’s converting targets to receptions at an excellent rate (11 catches on 12 targets), and has managed to snag a TD in both games so far this season. With Antonio Gates still suspended, and Malcolm Floyd descending deeper into irrelevance, Johnson should keep up those numbers moving forward.
The Vikings will be no pushover in Week 3 - but after shutting down the 49ers wide receivers in Week One, they proceeded to give up 177 yards and a TD to Lions receivers last week. The Chargers number five ranked pass offense should be able to improve on those numbers, and Johnson will certainly have a piece of the pie. He should be inserted into fantasy lineups as a strong Week 3 start, especially for those in PPR leagues.
