Sleeper.com NBA DFS Prop Picks - Over/Under Props for Friday, February 9

Jayson Tatum - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball, NBA Injury News

Sleeper NBA DFS prop picks for February 9, 2024. Use Jake's NBA over/under props recommendations to win money on Sleeper.

Welcome to our Sleeper NBA DFS prop picks for Friday, February 9. Mark your calendars. This weekend is going to host one of the biggest events in sports history. One team will come out a winner, the other claiming the title of ‘biggest loser.’ Two teams on opposite sides of the coin face off while the entire world watches. Pistons versus Clippers, Saturday. Tip off at 2:30 PM EST.

Detroit is looking to start their first winning-streak of the season after miraculously winning two in a row and the Clippers are the only team standing in their way. Already, the Pistons have won more games in February then in all of November and December combined. Yeah, whatever the actual Super Bowl is being played Sunday, but my Super Bowl is Saturday afternoon.

Sleeper offers some of the best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games in the industry. Sleeper DFS works just like regular player prop betting – there are no large-field tournaments to get lost in. You're not playing against other people; you're just playing against the projections. Here are some of our favorite NBA prop picks for Friday's six game slate.

Announcement: We have two awesome new Props Optimizers for the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and NCAA! The PrizePicks Optimizer and Prop Bets Optimizer are both available in our new Props Premium Package, which includes exclusive access to RotoBaller's VIP Discord chat rooms for props and betting.

NBA DFS Props - Over/Under Picks for Friday, February 9

Nick Richards OVER 8.5 Rebounds

The question used to be whether or not Nick Richards would get enough minutes to hit the over. Now, the question is whether the Hornets are even good enough to compete every night. Despite Charlotte’s record, Richards has played with more confidence and intensity now that he is safely in the starting lineup. The Hornets recent trades open up some usage, but that shouldn’t affect his rebounding potential against a team like Milwaukee.

The Bucks are historically a good defensive team, but Damian Lillard leaves a hole to be filled and Brook Lopez’s age is a factor when it comes to sheer athleticism and mobility. Richards isn’t underrated or a non-factor, but his playstyle leaves most of his production to rim-running, rebound-chasing, and typical-center statlines. A double-double is usually a great prediction for him and playing against static centers have proven to help his rebounding numbers.

Amen Thompson OVER 27.5 Points+ Rebounds + Assists

RotoBaller’s Prop-Timizer loves Amen Thompson’s unders today, but how can we confidently go through with that? The Raptors are beyond terrible right now with absolutely no defense and less offense, not to mention Thompson excelled last game in just the second start of his career. The Rockets are not built around one or two players and they rely on everyone contributing equally within their roles.

Both twins Ausar Thompson and Amen Thompson have shown incredible ability to produce their rookie seasons and neither has let their shooting inconsistencies dictate their upside. Amen, specifically has carved a role for himself within a winning institution and his minutes directly reflect his across-the-board production. If Amen is starting for the Rockets, he should eat up all the excess rebounds and dominate the fast-break, transition offense, especially against a struggling team like Toronto.

Jayson Tatum OVER 31.5 Points + Assists

It’s the Wizards. One of the worst teams in the league going up against one of the more unstoppable offensive threats of this decade. If there is one player that can stop Jayson Tatum, it’s himself and that’s really it. When he has bad games, it’s because he shot poorly. Rarely will the defensive alignment or schemes he faces force him into a more passive or reserve role and that’s not happening tonight. The biggest concern is the blowout potential and that still leaves debate on whether or not Celtics blowouts are ‘funded’ by Tatum’s ability.

Whatever positives being said about Jayson Tatum are most-likely repetitive. He’s one of the few players capable of going for 20 points in a quarter and turning bad-starts into quality outings. His rebounding has taken a minor jump over the last month so if you have any worry, smash his Points + Rebounds + Assists to calm any concerns because remember, it’s the Wizards.
