RotoBaller NBA Recap: Kyrie Irving Hits Game-Winner

Spencer Aguiar highlights three fantasy basketball takeaways from the NBA's March 29th slate. This recap focuses on Josh Okogie, Gary Harris, and Kyrie Irving.

Welcome to the RotoBaller NBA Recap. In this feature, we highlight three fantasy basketball takeaways from last night's slate of NBA games. The end of the season is almost upon us, but fantasy basketball leagues and NBA playoff seedings are still in the balance.

If you are lucky enough to be still fighting for a championship, only six teams don't play four games next week, which includes the Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City Thunder, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Clippers, Washington Wizards and New Orleans Pelicans.

You will need to be aware of how many roster transactions you are capable of manufacturing, and you will also need to make sure to come to decisions that can help boost a category that is still up for grabs. Leagues can be won or lost from both of these decisions, so it is vital to try and put together the most optimal lineup that you can strategically. Our three main fantasy takeaways of the night are still to come, so without further ado, let's dive into what transpired during the March 29th slate.

Josh Okogie Matches Career-High

Josh Okogie matched his career-high of 21 points, adding five rebounds, one assist, four steals and three three-pointers in 41 minutes. The performance was his third 21-point game this season, and the rookie is beginning to round into form on the offensive end of the ball.

Even though the 20-year-old is known for his defense, he has averaged 16.2 points in his previous six contests and has posted top-40 numbers in nine-category leagues. If Okogie is still on your waiver wire, he is worth a pickup to end the season and is someone worth keeping an eye on heading into drafts next year.

Gary Harris Remains Cold

Gary Harris scored eight points with one rebound, four assists, two steals and two three-pointers in 31 minutes against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.

It has been an awful season for Harris, who has been hampered by injuries and poor shooting performances all year. His letdown season will make him an intriguing option to consider late in drafts next year, but other than being a waiver wire pickup for back-to-back games down the stretch, Harris is droppable for those that need to fill an extra position in their lineup.

Kyrie Irving Hits Game-Winner

Kyrie Irving made the game-winning layup with 0.5 seconds left during a 114-112 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Friday, scoring 30 points to go along with two rebounds, five assists, three steals and three three-pointers in 35 minutes.

The win moves the Celtics up to the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, taking over the Pacers for the position. Boston will be quickly back in action on Saturday night, so it will be interesting to see what the Celtics decide to do with Irving. The team has been resting him in back-to-back sets, which has done wonders for his ability to remain healthy this season, but Boston needs some bodies with all the uncertainty surrounding their players. We will see if they decide to give him a rest or not, but Irving has had one of the better seasons of his career this year.
