Toronto Maple Leafs right wing William Nylander scored twice and tallied an assist during their overtime victory over the New Jersey Devils on Thursday evening. Nylander got the Leafs on the board with their first goal in the opening minutes of the second frame. Later in the third, Nylander would tally the primary assist on Auston Matthew's power-play strike. Then, in overtime, Nylander would push Toronto over the top with a game-winning goal, which beat netminder Jakob Markstrom. Nylander entered this game tallying just one point over his previous seven contests. However, before this cold stretch, the 28-year-old tallied 15 points (six goals, nine helpers) over his last ten. This was a nice bounce-back outing for Nylander, as he will now look to extend this offensive surge Saturday night in Montreal.--Andy Smith
