Tony Pollard Goes For 62 Yards Against Texans
4 days agoTennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard carried the ball 22 times for 62 yards in Sunday's 23-14 loss to the Texans. With Tyjae Spears (concussion) not suiting up for the contest, it was natural that Pollard got a large bulk of the attempts. Yet, he managed just 2.8 yards per carry and could not find the end zone. Overall, 2024 wasn't a bad year for Tennessee's lead back–tallying 1,079 yards on the ground, five touchdowns, and 238 yards receiving on 41 catches. He should still be heading the backfield for the Titans next season. However, 23-year-old Spears did show some promise in the last couple of weeks, and it will have to be seen what kind of involvement he gets in the offense come 2025. Pollard is shaping up to be a mid-round pick for the next round of fantasy drafts.
