Tony DeAngelo Signs One-Year Deal With Islanders
1 day agoThe New York Islanders have signed defenseman Tony DeAngelo to a one-year, league-minimum contract for the remainder of the 2024-25 season. DeAngelo was playing for St. Petersburg SKA in the KHL earlier this season, scoring 32 points (six goals, 26 assists) in 34 games before being released from his contract due to locker room issues. The talented blueliner is obviously very skilled, but the big question will be whether he can get his head in the game for the Isles. If he can, he should be able to take over Noah Dobson's (lower body) spot on the top powerplay unit. If that happens, he will become a decent fantasy add.
