Samuel Ersson Tries To Extend Winning Streak Versus Red Wings
14 seconds agoPhiladelphia Flyers goaltender Samuel Ersson will head out for a fifth consecutive win on Tuesday against Detroit. After recovering from a lower-body injury, Ersson suffered a 4-1 defeat against Dallas when he returned to the crease on Jan. 9. However, he has matched his career-best winning streak since, logging one shutout and allowing seven goals across four games. Ersson has improved to 13-7-2 and has a 2.79 goals-against average for the campaign. He boasts two shutouts and has registered a .889 save percentage. Detroit has recently gone cold again, dropping three of the past four games, but Ersson struggled massively in his previous appearance in the matchup.
