Salvador Perez: Continued Excellence In 2025?
1 day agoKansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez will look to continue his excellence in 2025. Perez remains one of the most sure bets at the catcher. The veteran hit .271 with 27 home runs, 104 RBI, 58 runs, and no stolen bases. Perez has played at least 140 games in three of the last four seasons, which is remarkable durability for a guy who plays the toughest position in the game. Keep in mind that Perez will get 30-40 starts at first base or designated hitter to keep his bat in the lineup while not forcing him to catch daily into his age-35 season. With health and continued opportunity, Perez should be able to hit around .260-.270 with 25+ home runs and 80+ RBI and be among the top stat-producing catchers in the game. His ADP is currently 75, which makes him the fourth catcher rostered in current drafts.
