Buffalo Sabres center Ryan McLeod scored a hat trick in their victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday evening. McLeod opened the scoring with a wrist shot to give Buffalo an early lead. Later in the second, he would score on another wrist to extend their lead to three goals at the time. Then, in the final minutes, McLeod earned his third goal of the night on the empty-netter. He also logged two blocked shots and two penalty minutes in this game. This was McLeod's second three-point showing over his previous three games. However, before this recent surge in production, McLeod tallied just three points (all assists) over his last 11 contests. McLeod remains a risky value play in DFS but could be worth a look if he continues this offensive surge.--Andy Smith
