17 hours agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle enters Week 9 having only scored 10-plus PPR points in one game in 2024. Even with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) returning to the lineup last week, he could only record four receptions on six targets for 45 yards. To add insult to injury, Waddle has yet to score a touchdown through seven games. This week presents a tough matchup against a Buffalo Bills defense that gives up the sixth-least fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. Waddle has been held to eight catches for 87 yards in the last two appearances against Buffalo. Making matters worse is the fact that temperatures are projected to drop into the thirties in Orchard Park on Sunday. It wouldn't be surprising if he has another disappointing performance this week. Despite the tough matchup, Waddle is WR27 in the latest RotoBaller rankings, making him a high-end WR3 against the Bills for Week 9.--Jake Walker - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

17 hours agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr (oblique) has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Carr is set to make his return to the field after being sidelined for the last three games. The return of Carr is good news for the Saints offense as they struggled heavily with Spencer Rattler under center. Chris Olave should be able to return to his WR2 value while Carr is a high-end QB2 against the awful Panthers defense.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Ian Rapoport

17 hours agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert will look to build off his strong performance in Week 8 as he heads into a Week 9 game against the Cleveland Browns. Herbert had his first fantasy QB1 game of the season in Week 8, putting up 24.1 fantasy points in standard scoring leagues for an overall QB9 finish. Herbert has been playing well most of the season but hadn't been asked to do much in what was an extremely run-heavy offense. He's thrown more in the past two games, however, and could be continuing that pattern against an average at best Cleveland secondary. With several of his pass catchers expected to be back and fully healthy this week, it could be a second QB1 performance in a row for the Bolts signal caller.--David A Marcillo - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

17 hours agoNew Orleans Saints defensive back Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of the upcoming Week 9 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Lattimore has been battling a hamstring issue for a few weeks now. He was attempting to play through the issue, but the team will opt to sit him out this weekend. The Saints will also be without Kool-Aid McKinstry (hamstring) and Paulson Adebo (leg) is on the injured reserve. That means, the Saints are going to be down to their second or possibly third string defensive backs for this weekend.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Jeff Nowak

17 hours agoMinnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson (knee) has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. That means, Hockenson is set to make his season debut this weekend. He figures to be a significant part of the offense after hauling in 95 receptions for 960 yards, and five touchdowns during his first full season with the team last year. There's a chance that Hockenson is limited during his first game back, but should still be in the TE1 conversation for Week 9.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Tom Pelissero

17 hours agoCincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss (neck) is listed as doubtful ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. Moss has taken a backseat in the backfield over the last few weeks. He has seen six carries or less in three straight games for 13 yards or less in all those contests. Fellow back Chase Brown has run away with the lead back job in Cincinnati. If Moss sits, Brown would probably see a few more carries coming his way this weekend. He'll be on the RB2 radar against the struggling Raiders team.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: bengals.com

17 hours agoLos Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (knee) is listed as questionable ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Nacua left early during Thursday's practice after aggravating his knee issue that sidelined him earlier in the season. The good news is that it sounds like Nacua has avoided any serious injuries. However, head coach Sean McVay said he wouldn't bet on Nacua being able to suit up this weekend. The Rams are going to be careful with their prized young wideout, so fantasy managers shouldn't be shocked if he sits out. If active, Nacua will be a risky WR2 given he probably won't be 100 percent healthy. Fellow wideout Cooper Kupp will likely see a heavy workload if Nacua is unable to play.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Sarah Barshop

18 hours agoTennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis (shoulder) will be listed as questionable for Sunday's tilt against the New England Patriots according to Paul Kuharsky. Levis has been able to participate in practice in a limited capacity this week which is a promising sign for his status heading into the weekend. The 25-year-old has been sidelined over the past two weeks. If Levis were to miss his third-straight game, Mason Rudolph would get the starting nod. Rudolph has eclipsed 200 passing yards in each of his past two games with a season-high of 266 last weekend against the Detroit Lions. Both options would be viewed as low-end QB2s facing a tough New England who have allowed the eighth-fewest points to opposing QBs this season.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: Paul Kuharsky

18 hours agoCleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (ankle) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's tilt against the Los Angeles Chargers. Njoku was sidelined during Thursday's practice but was able to return on Friday. As a result, this could have simply been a scheduled day off for the tight end as he missed three games earlier in the season with the same injury. The 28-year-old has enjoyed the two best of games of his season over the past two weeks averaging an excellent 20.4 PPR points in each of them. Fantasy managers should view Njoku as a solid TE1 in all formats facing the Los Angeles Chargers who have allowed the 21st-most PPR points to opposing wideouts this season.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: Zac Jackson

18 hours agoTampa Bay Buccaneers rookie running back Bucky Irving (toe) was not seen at Friday's practice according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. Irving was also sidelined during Thursday's practice. Fantasy managers should monitor his status during Saturday's practice as he may carry an injury designation into Monday's tilt against the Kansas City Chiefs. The rookie running back has been dealing with this lingering injury for the past few weeks but has yet to miss any time due to it. If Irving is able to play he should be expected to split time with Rachaad White facing a tough Kansas City defense who has allowed the fewest PPR points to opposing RBs this season.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: Rick Stroud

18 hours agoLos Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams looks to continue his stellar play in Week 9 against the Seattle Seahawks. He has scored a touchdown in every game this season and eclipsed 15 PPR points in seven out of eight weeks. The 24-year-old now gets an enticing matchup against Seattle's defense, one of the worst in the league at defending the run. For context, they allow the sixth most PPR points per game to opposing running backs. In recent weeks, James Cook, Bijan Robinson, and Tyrone Tracy Jr. have all rushed for over 100 yards against them. Cooper Kupp's return to the lineup should continue to create more open boxes for Williams. He should be in all lineups as a slam-dunk RB1 and ranks second overall in this week's RotoBaller running back rankings.--Jake Walker - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller

18 hours agoCleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (ankle) was seen at Friday's practice according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. Njoku popped up on the injury report on Thursday with an ankle injury. This is a great sign to see the tight end back at practice which suggests the injury was minor. Fantasy managers should monitor Friday's injury report in case the 28-year-old will carry an injury designation into the weekend. Njoku is coming off the best game of his season as he brought in five passes for 61 yards and a score. If Njoku is able to suit up, he should be viewed as a solid TE1 in all formats.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: Mary Kay Cabot

18 hours agoCarolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints according to Joe Person of The Athletic. Thielen logged two limited practice sessions on Wednesday and Thursday but was sidelined on Friday. The veteran wideout is now in danger of missing his sixth-straight contest. During the first three weeks of the season, Thielen caught at least two passes in each game and averaged 36.3 yards per game. While the 34-year-old remains sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker to lead the air attack.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: Joe Person

18 hours agoCarolina Panthers rookie running back Jonathon Brooks (knee) is not expected to play despite being listed as questionable according to David Newton of ESPN. Head coach Dave Canales noted that the rookie running back is progressing well but is not expected to play this weekend. Brooks was able to participate in full during all of the practices this week which is a great sign for his availability heading into Week 10. The Panthers are opting to exercise caution with their former second-round pick who suffered a torn ACL last November. Brooks remains a high-end stash candidate. Chuba Hubbard should be given another heavy dose of work this weekend and is a viable RB2 in all formats.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: David Newton

19 hours agoCincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (quadriceps) will be listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Higgins was sidelined last week due to the same injury and been unable to participate during the week. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status but the 25-year-old will face an uphill battle to suit up on Sunday. If he misses his second-straight game, Ja'Marr Chase should see a heavy dose of work and be viewed as a high-end WR1. In addition, Andrei Iosivas would become a viable flex option in deeper formats as he should operate as the No.2 pass-catching option for Joe Burrow.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: Kelsey Conway
