Murphy entered the fight as the betting favorite but in the first round, he was dropped and was nearly knocked out. However, Murphy was able to rally as he outstruck Ige in the second round as well as taking him down. In the third round, Murphy was controlled for 2:34 but he did land the more damaging shots to win the round and the fight. With the win, Murphy is now 15-0-1 as a pro and 7-0-1 in the UFC and he should get a top-10 opponent next.

Ankalaev entered the bout as a massive favorite as the Russian was looking to cement himself as the next title contender. The fight was rather boring as neither man threw many strikes, but Ankalaev outstruck Rakic in two of the three rounds to win a decision. With the win, Ankalaev improved to 20-1-1 and 1 NC as a pro and is 11-1-1 and one NC in the UFC and should face Alex Pereira for the belt next.

3 weeks agoMax Holloway suffered a third-round knockout loss to Ilia Topuria in the main event of UFC 308. The Hawaiian was looking to become a two-time featherweight champ. The first two rounds were competitive as Holloway was doing better than the odds suggest. But, in the third round, Holloway got rocked with a big punch and Topuria swarmed him and then dropped him with a right hand. It was the first time Holloway was dropped in his career and Topuria landed ground-and-pound shots as Holloway lost by TKO for the first time in his career that he has been knocked out. With the loss, Holloway is 26-8 as a pro and 22-8 in the UFC.

Topuria entered the bout as the betting favorite and in the first round, he went to his wrestling early on. The second round was competitive, but in the third, he landed a big shot that rocked Holloway. With this win, Hernandez improved to 13-2 as a pro and his UFC record is now at 7-2.
