7 hours agoBrooklyn Nets forward Dorian Finney-Smith (calf) won't play in Saturday's game against the Jazz. The veteran has had one of the best years of his career, averaging 10.8 points and shooting 45.2% from behind the arc. It's unknown how severe his current calf contusion is, so fantasy managers will be left wondering if he'll be ready to go when the Nets play the Heat in South Beach on Monday night. In the meantime, Cameron Johnson might slide over to the four, with Jalen Wilson and Keon Johnson gaining more fantasy value due to an anticipated increase in minutes and scoring opportunities.Source: Brooklyn Nets
7 hours agoMemphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant (back) won't play on Saturday against the Hawks. The 2019 No. 2 overall pick hasn't played his best this season, averaging 21.2 points. He'll also miss his 12th game after appearing in only nine contests during the 2023-24 campaign. It's unknown if Morant will be ready to go when the Grizzlies play the Clippers on Monday night. But until he is back on the floor, Scotty Pippen Jr. is worth starting, with the 24-year-old averaging 14.3 points, 5.9 assists, and 1.4 steals in 10 appearances with the first-five this season.Source: NBA Injury Report
7 hours agoDue to an illness, Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler (illness) will not suit up against the Orlando Magic on Saturday. Butler played on Friday against OKC but only seven minutes due to a stomach bug. Saturday's contest will be the sixth game he's missed this season. Tyler Herro, who had 28 points on Friday, should be a lock across all fantasy formats in his absence. Duncan Robinson and Jaime Jaquez Jr. will likely also see more scoring opportunities with Butler out.Source: NBA Injury Report
8 hours agoMilwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard (calf) won't suit up Saturday versus the Washington Wizards due to a right calf strain. Lillard will miss a second consecutive game since posting 23 points and shooting 5-for-10 from behind the arc in the NBA Cup final on Tuesday. AJ Green started in place of Lillard on Friday and will likely get the nod to start again on Saturday. Delon Wright could also see more action as well against the Wizards.Source: Milwaukee Bucks
8 hours agoLos Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis (elbow) has been upgraded to probable for Saturday's matchup with the Sacramento Kings. Davis has battled through several injuries this season, but his new left elbow injury won't likely keep him out of Saturday's contest. The 31-year-old has only missed one game so far this season and has averaged 27.5 points and 11.7 rebounds. If the big man suits up, he is a must-start across all fantasy formats.Source: NBA Injury Report
8 hours agoAccording to Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (foot) has been upgraded to probable for Saturday's matchup with the Sacramento Kings. James was initially listed as questionable due to left foot injury management, but he will now be likely available to play. He's been dealing with a foot injury that caused him to miss two games earlier this month before being able to return for the next two. If the 39-year-old can go, he is a must-start in all fantasy formats, averaging 22.6 PPG, 7.9 RPG, and 9.0 APG this season. Source: Grant Afseth
8 hours agoSacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis (back) has been added to the team's injury report and is now questionable for Saturday against the Lakers due to a back contusion. Sabonis last suited up against the Lakers on Thursday, posting 18 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists, and two blocks in 38 minutes. If the 28-year-old big man cannot go, Alex Len and Isaac Jones could receive more minutes on the floor than usual against Los Angeles.Source: NBA Injury Report
12 hours agoPhoenix Suns guard Devin Booker (groin) won't play in Saturday's matchup with the Pistons. That has been known. However, the team provided an update to add more salt to the wound, reporting the multi-time All-Star will also miss Monday's game versus the Denver Nuggets. Unfortunately, there could be more absences on the horizon, based on an evaluation that is scheduled for next week. The 28-year-old has averaged 25.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.1 steals this season. Even better, he hasn't missed a game after appearing in only 68 during the 2023-24 campaign. But with Booker potentially facing a lengthy layoff due to a groin strain suffered against the Pacers on Thursday night, Kevin Durant should take on more of the scoring duties, with Tyus Jones, Royce O'Neale, and Grayson Allen potentially getting more involvement.Source: Gerald Bourguet
12 hours agoMiami Heat forward Jimmy Butler (illness) is doubtful for Saturday's encounter with the Orlando Magic. The veteran lasted only seven minutes in Friday's loss to OKC, exiting the contest with the stomach bug. He has already missed five games during the 2024-25 campaign. However, if Butler is sidelined again on Saturday, Tyler Herro, who had 28 points on Friday, would be a lock for all fantasy lineups, with Duncan Robinson and Jaime Jaquez Jr. both in line for additional scoring opportunities, making them both, risky, high-upside streaming options for managers.Source: Barry Jackson
13 hours agoSacramento Kings forward Trey Lyles (calf) is questionable for the meeting with the Lakers on Saturday. The 29-year-old hasn't had a quality season, averaging 5.4 points and 3.9 rebounds, among the lowest marks of his career. He missed the last 10 games because of calf soreness. But Lyles had a chance to return a few games ago, so he's not out of the woods just yet. Under normal circumstances, Lyles wouldn't be a factor in any fantasy setup due to his subpar play throughout the 2024-25 campaign. However, with Keegan Murray (ankle) also questionable, the 2015 No. 12 overall pick could receive meaningful minutes versus Los Angeles, giving him some streaming value despite the potential for limited work. On the other hand, if Murray and Lyles are both sidelined, Doug McDermott, who had 16 points in a recent encounter with the Denver Nuggets, would draw interest from fantasy managers, especially from those looking for DFS value opportunities.Source: NBA Injury
13 hours agoSacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's game versus the Lakers. The 24-year-old has been dealing with left ankle soreness of late. It kept him out of a recent meeting with the Nuggets. However, he was back on the floor against the Lakers on Thursday night, the first of consecutive games between the clubs. Sacramento will face Indiana on Sunday evening, so Murray could sit this one out to rest. If that's the case, Doug McDermott, amassing 16 points when Murray was out versus Denver, could find himself back in the starting lineup. But with Trey Lyles (calf), who is questionable, potentially returning from a 10-game layoff, McDermott could see less than the 27 minutes he received on Thursday, significantly lowering his fantasy ceiling and streaming value.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 day agoPhoenix Suns guard Devin Booker (groin) has been ruled out ahead of Saturday's game against the Detroit Pistons. This comes after Booker exited early on Thursday due to a groin injury. The severity of the issue is unclear, but Booker will at least miss Saturday's game. His next chance to get on the court will be Monday versus the Denver Nuggets. The Suns will likely use a committee approach to help fill the void left by the superstar guard. Out of everyone, Royce O'Neale and Grayson Allen figure to gain the most fantasy value. Both players are possible streaming options with Booker unavailable on Saturday. O'Neale has been playing well lately and is the slightly better short term option between the two.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 day agoUtah Jazz guard Keyonte George (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday night's game against the Brooklyn Nets. George is listed as having a left ankle sprain. He's only missed one game this season so fantasy managers should be hopeful he's able to fight through this. George put up 28 points against Detroit on Thursday night while going 7-13 from deep. He should have another interesting matchup against Brooklyn if he's able to go. If not, expect Jordan Clarkson and Johnny Juzang to get more usage in Utah's offense. Clarkson should be prioritized as the more reliable fantasy option.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 day agoDetroit Pistons forward Isaiah Stewart (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Saturday's game against the Phoenix Suns. This doesn't come as much of a shock after Stewart hyperextended his left knee during Monday's game. As a result, Stewart will miss his second straight game, so his next chance to play will be against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday. Paul Reed figures to serve as the backup center while Stewart is out. Reed finished with 12 points and nine rebounds across 17 minutes on Thursday. That was a solid outing from Reed, but he 's unlikely to match that same performance on Saturday.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 day agoDetroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (knee) is currently listed as probable ahead of Saturday's game against the Phoenix Suns. It appears Ivey is trending towards getting back on the court following a two-game absence due to left knee soreness. If active, Ivey figures to return to his regular role in the starting five. The 22-year-old hasn't been the best fantasy option lately, but is worth holding due to his upside. Ivey is going to continue getting nearly 30 minutes per game, so hopefully he gets back into a rhythm soon. The return of Ivey would likely mean that Malik Beasley sees a reduced role.Source: NBA Injury Report
