12 hours agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young (Achilles) will be in the lineup on Tuesday against the Portland Trail Blazers. The team has upgraded Young to available after initially listing him as probable for the contest. Young ranks sixth in the league with 45 double-doubles, averaging 24.1 points and 11.5 assists for the season. He narrowly missed out on a double-double in this season's first meeting with the Trail Blazers, posting 29 points and eight assists in a 114-110 loss on Nov. 17.Source: Atlanta Hawks
12 hours agoOn Tuesday, the NBA suspended Detroit Pistons guard Marcus Sasser (suspension) for one game, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Sasser was thrown out in the second quarter of Sunday's contest against Minnesota after a scuffle with several players. He will be unavailable for Wednesday's matchup with the Thunder. The 24-year-old is eligible to make his return Friday versus the Raptors. Teammate Ron Holland was suspended for one game, while Isaiah Stewart was tagged with a two-game ban.Source: Shams Charania
12 hours agoMilwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (foot) will play against the Suns on Tuesday night. It's not uncommon to see the two-time MVP listed on the injury report. But as has been the case for most of the 2024-25 campaign, he was listed as probable, so fantasy managers expected to have him in the lineup. Antetokounmpo had 31 points, 10 rebounds, and five rebounds in his only matchup against Phoenix this season. However, he won't have to deal with Kevin Durant (ankle) and possibly Royce O'Neale (illness) this time around.Source: Eric Nehm
12 hours agoAccording to Shams Charania of ESPN, the NBA suspended Detroit Pistons forward/center Isaiah Stewart (suspension) for two games on Tuesday. The 23-year-old was ejected from Sunday's game against Minnesota due to an on-court altercation that involved several players. Stewart has to sit Wednesday against the Thunder and Friday versus the Raptors. Teammates Marcus Sasser and Ron Holland were also involved in the scuffle and will serve a one-game suspension. While these players are out of action, Paul Reed, Lindy Waters, and Simone Fontecchio will likely see an uptick in minutes but will not make much of an impact, fantasy-wise.Source: Shams Charania
12 hours agoGolden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga (pelvis) won't play on Tuesday versus Memphis. He logged only six minutes in Sunday's win over the San Antonio Spurs before taking a hard fall, suffering a pelvic contusion. As such, it appears there's a chance the 22-year-old could miss more time moving forward. In the meantime, Buddy Hield, coming off a 19-point effort, is the favorite to benefit the most off the bench. Gui Santos and Quinten Post could also see extra work.Source: Brett Siegel
13 hours agoBoston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup with the Heat. He has been dealing with a right knee injury of late, most recently keeping him off the floor for Monday's win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Xavier Tillman Sr. got the start. However, he had only two points, three rebounds, and one steal in seven minutes of work. With that said, not only is Brown questionable for Wednesday's contest, but Al Horford (toe), Kristaps Porzingis (return from illness reconditioning), and Jrue Holiday (shoulder) are also in danger of not playing. As a result, Tillman, Luke Kornet, Sam Hauser and Payton Pritchard could see a bump in production behind Jayson Tatum and Derrick White.Source: Boston Celtics
13 hours agoMinnesota Timberwolves guard/forward Donte DiVincenzo (suspension) will be unavailable for Tuesday's matchup with the Denver Nuggets. According to Sham Charania of ESPN, DiVincenzo was suspended by the NBA for one game for his involvement in an on-court altercation with the Pistons on Sunday. Naz Reid (suspension) will also have to sit out one game for his participation in the scuffle. With DiVincenzo out of action, Minnesota will likely turn to Rob Dillingham and Nickeil Alexander-Walker to take extra minutes. Alexander-Walker, in particular, could be a solid fantasy streaming option this evening. He recently finished with 11 points, two rebounds, four assists and one block across 27 minutes on Sunday versus the Pistons.Source: Shams Charania
13 hours agoNew York Knicks guard Miles McBride (groin) won't play on Tuesday versus Philadelphia. The 24-year-old had been filling in at the one for Jalen Brunson (ankle). Unfortunately, he's been battling a groin strain, keeping him off the floor for the Knicks' previous five contests. Cameron Payne (ankle) is also out, meaning Delon Wright, who had seven points, four boards, two steals, and two blocks in Sunday's win over Portland, is expected to remain in the starting lineup. Landry Shamet had 11 points in that one and figures to also remain involved. But with Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) uncertain to suit up, both Shamet and Wright could be even more productive for fantasy managers.Source: NBA Injur
13 hours agoNew York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) is questionable for Tuesday's contest against the Philadelphia 76ers. KAT has only missed seven games this year. Yet, he has a sore left knee, so the team may keep him off the floor versus the 23-52 Sixers. If that's the case, Precious Achiuwa and Mitchell Robinson may see more action. However, Achiuwa would likely be the safer fantasy option, considering Robinson hasn't logged more than 24 minutes in a game since being cleared to play just over a month ago. Towns' absence will likely open the door for added production from Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart, and OG Anunoby.Source: NBA Injury Report
13 hours agoAccording to ESPN's Shams Charania, Minnesota Timberwolves forward/center Naz Reid (suspension) was suspended for one game on Tuesday. Reid will serve a one-game suspension for his involvement in an on-court altercation with the Pistons on Sunday. Donte DiVincenzo was also involved in the scuffle and won't be able to play Tuesday against the Denver Nuggets. With Reid sidelined, Minnesota's frontcourt will likely need Luka Garza to take on extra minutes for this evening's contest.Source: Shams Charania
21 hours agoOrlando Magic point guard Cole Anthony (toe) has been listed as questionable for Tuesday's action against the San Antonio Spurs. He missed a seventh consecutive contest on Monday night against the Los Angeles Clippers. However, there appears to be light at the end of the tunnel for Anthony after he was upgraded to questionable ahead of the week. Anthony's return will bump Cory Joseph back to the bench. The veteran guard has not been very productive with additional opportunities over the last couple of weeks but played well on Monday, notching 10 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Anthony Black's fantasy value will also decline with Anthony's return.Source: NBA Injury Report
21 hours agoPortland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (knee) remains on the injury report with a doubtful tag on Thursday, making it unlikely that he will return to action against the Atlanta Hawks. Grant has not played since March 9, missing 10 games due to inflammation in his right knee. Deni Avdija's workload has noticeably increased during Grant's absence, as he has averaged 36.8 minutes since his exit from the lineup. Avdija has also been highly productive, averaging 25.3 points, 10.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.2 steals over the past 10 games.Source: NBA Injury Report
21 hours agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons (forearm) is listed on the injury report on Thursday with a questionable tag, meaning he may have to sit out a meeting with the Atlanta Hawks. The talented scorer has been dealing with a right forearm injury for some time. He was also listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the New York Knicks but ended up playing 35 minutes as a starter in that game. However, it seems that the injury to his shooting hand affected him against the Knicks, as Simons made only five of his 20 field-goal attempts during a 15-point performance. Scoot Henderson (concussion) also has health concerns, so the Trail Blazers backcourt may need to get more out of Dalano Banton going forward.Source: NBA Injury Report
21 hours agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson (concussion) will be absent for a second consecutive game on Tuesday against the Atlanta Hawks. He must clear concussion protocol before being eligible to return to the court. Due to Henderson's absence, Dalano Banton and Matisse Thybulle could pick up extra shifts in the rotation. However, Portland relied heavily on its starters in Sunday's game against the New York Knicks, with only a combined 31 minutes shared between Banton and Thybulle.Source: NBA Injury Report
21 hours agoPortland Trail Blazers center Deandre Ayton (calf) has been listed as out for Tuesday's meeting with the Atlanta Hawks. The Trail Blazers have been without Ayton since Feb. 10, and it remains unclear when or if Ayton will return this season. Donovan Clingan will continue to operate as the starting center, with Duop Reath providing backup. In 30 starts during his rookie campaign, Clingan has averaged 7.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks in 23.7 minutes. His offensive game is clearly not yet good enough for this level, as he has made only one field goal over the past two games, but Clingan is busy on the glass and an intimidating presence on the defensive end.Source: NBA Injury Report
