5 days agoBaltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews scored for the third straight week during the 29-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Andrews posted five receptions, 36 yards, and a touchdown on five targets. National Tight End Day meant the veteran almost had to score to celebrate properly. This marked his fourth touchdown in three games and his fourth consecutive game with three or more receptions. Lamar Jackson and Andrews seem to have found their rhythm again. The veteran hopes to keep the momentum going in a Week 9 matchup against the Denver Broncos.Source: ESPN
5 days agoNew York Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein saw his struggles continue in a 25-22 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 8. Zuerlein made one of his two field-goal attempts and missed one of his two extra points in the close loss to the Pats on Sunday. The veteran kicker has been erratic in 2024 as he has now missed four field goals over his past three games played. Overall, Zuerlein has hit nine of his 15 field goals through eight games. He will look to bounce back against the Houston Texans in Week 9's Thursday night game.Source: NFL.com
5 days agoNew York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin caught three of his four targets for 42 yards and a touchdown in a 25-22 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 8. Conklin brought down Aaron Rodgers' first touchdown pass of the game on a two-yard catch in the first quarter. The veteran tight end is quietly putting together a solid fantasy season as he now has 26 catches for 240 yards and two touchdowns through eight games. Conklin will be a streaming option heading into Week 9's Thursday night game against the Houston Texans.Source: NFL.com
5 days agoNew York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams caught four of his six targets for 54 yards in a 25-22 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 8. Adams finished second on the Jets in targets, catches, and receiving yards behind only Garrett Wilson in the close loss but it goes down as his second straight pedestrian outing since the team acquired him from the Las Vegas Raiders ahead of Week 7. Adams should have better days ahead of him as he gets more acclimated to the New York offense but it appears that he is not going to be overtaking Wilson as the team's No. 1 receiver anytime soon. Adams will be a low-end WR2 in fantasy heading into Week 9's Thursday night game against the Houston Texans.Source: NFL.com
5 days agoBaltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers overcame his ankle injury to suit up for Week 8 and he delivered yet another 100-yard performance. In the 29-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns, he ended up with seven receptions for 115 yards on 12 targets. He didn't see any work in the ground game on this one, but he remained Lamar Jackson's top target out of all the pass-catchers. Flowers has tremendous value in PPR formats as he's posted three WR1 performances and had two without scoring a touchdown. He'll look to find the end zone in Week 9 against the Denver Broncos.Source: ESPN
5 days agoNew York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson caught five of his eight targets for 113 yards in a 25-22 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 8. Wilson led the Jets in all receiving categories while averaging a season-high 22.6 yards per catch in the close loss to the Patriots. The veteran wideout has been playing well of late as this goes into the books as his third 100-yard receiving game over his past four contests. Wilson will be a low-end WR1 in fantasy heading into Week 9's Thursday night game against the Houston Texans.Source: NFL.com
5 days agoThe Detroit Lions DST delivered a strong fantasy performance in Week 8 despite allowing over 400 yards in their 52-14 win over the Tennessee Titans. The unit made big plays, including a punt return for a touchdown, two fumble recoveries, and two interceptions. This effort earned the Lions a Top-5 fantasy defense finish and marked their third double-digit fantasy scoring game of the season. The Lions DST will aim to stay productive in their Week 9 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.Source: ESPN
5 days agoNew York Jets running back Braelon Allen carried the ball 12 times for 32 yards and a touchdown in a 25-22 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 8. Allen was surprisingly reinserted into the Jets' offense after seeing just 10 total carries in the previous three games. The rookie running back found the end zone for the third time this season on a two-yard carry in the fourth quarter. Allen remains a priority handcuff to Breece Hall in fantasy, although his inconsistent workload every week makes him tough to trust in starting lineups. He will next take on the Houston Texans in Week 9's Thursday night game.Source: NFL.com
5 days agoBaltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry scored a late touchdown to continue his scoring streak and salvage his day for fantasy managers. The King ended with 73 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. He also hauled in his lone target for four yards. This game looked bleak for the offense as a whole while they failed to convert on many third downs and the Browns got out to a second-half lead. Luckily, Henry punched in a goal-line score near the end of the fourth quarter to deliver a borderline RB1 performance. He'll look to get back to his big outputs against the Denver Broncos in Week 9.Source: ESPN
5 days agoDenver Broncos running back Jaleel McLaughlin totaled 47 yards on his eight carries in the team's 28-14 victory over the Carolina Panthers. The second-year back added nine yards and a touchdown on his lone target. McLaughlin was again efficient with his touches, notching his third outing of the season with 5+ yards per carry and his second in as many weeks. The receiving touchdown was his second on the season and third total of the campaign -- one more than backfield mate Javonte Williams. He's been effective in his change-of-pace role in Denver's offense. The former undrafted free agent has a bit more juice than his counterpart; however, he's considerably more diminutive in stature than Williams. Standing three inches shorter (5-foot-7) and over 30 pounds lighter, he may never take over Denver's "thumper" role and likely won't garner standalone value unless the fourth-year back is forced to miss time. The Broncos will take on the Ravens next Sunday in Week 9.Source: ESPN
5 days agoAtlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins enjoyed another big day versus Tampa Bay, completing 23 of 29 passes for 276 yards and four touchdowns without throwing a pick in the 31-26 victory. The 36-year-old signal-caller even chipped in 16 yards on three carries. The veteran QB probably wishes he could face the Buccaneers every week, now with 785 yards and an 8:1 TD:INT in two games versus their divisional foe. He'll finish the week as a top-five QB for fantasy, however, the 13-year pro has been fairly pedestrian otherwise, averaging 220 yards per game with a 6:6 TD:INT, those two games versus the Bucs notwithstanding. Cousins will get a somewhat favorable matchup in Week 9 against the Cowboys and figures to be a QB2 with QB1 upside again.Source: ESPN
5 days agoNew York Jets running back Breece Hall carried the ball 16 times for 80 yards and caught one of his three targets for nine yards in a 25-22 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 8. Hall turned in a solid game on the ground but saw Braelon Allen vulture a short touchdown from him while also siphoning away 12 carries in the close loss. Hall's output in the passing game also comes as a disappointment after he racked up 11 catches for 159 yards in his previous two games. He will be a solid RB1 in fantasy heading into a Week 9 Thursday night matchup against the Houston Texans.Source: NFL.com
5 days agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson posted his most inefficient throwing day but is able to put together a QB1-level fantasy performance. He registered 289 yards and two touchdowns while throwing 23-for-38 and added 46 yards on eight carries. Jackson led the offense down the field to get a late-game lead when Derrick Henry punched in a two-yard score, but was unable to make up for their defense's mistakes in a final game-winning drive. The Ravens' third-down offense couldn't convert for most of the game either. That said, the two-time MVP still posted a high-quality fantasy day. They'll return home for a Week 9 matchup against the Denver Broncos.Source: ESPN
5 days agoNew York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 17 of his 28 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns in a 25-22 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 8. Rodgers and the Jets turned in an uneven performance in losing to the underdog Patriots as they struggled to move the ball at times and were unable to hold onto a five-point lead with three minutes left in the fourth quarter. Rodgers' touchdown passes went to Tyler Conklin and Xavier Gipson in the close loss to their AFC East rivals. The veteran quarterback came into the game dealing with hamstring and knee injuries but he appeared to emerge from the contest without any further injury. Rodgers will look to regroup ahead of Week 9's Thursday night game against the Houston Texans.Source: NFL.com
